Screen tearing on fullscreen

I'm having some weird screen tearing when I play TF2 in fullscreen. I don't have any problems with windowed mode at all.

So, if you have any solutions in your minds, feel free to help.

I get the same thing. I have no idea why, and haven't bothered looking into it since I prefer windowed anyways.

v-sync is one of the worst things in gaming
but yeah, check to see if that fixes it, or just dont play full screen.

do you have your fps capped? I noticed a lot less tearing when I set fps_max to 0.

If you have a 60Hz monitor set it to like 121. It should stop tearing.

I have a 60 Hz and I used to have fps_max 121 and tearing was bad. When I changed it to fps_max 0 it mostly went away.

I normally have fps capped on 132. I have tried vsync and other fps caps but they haven't worked at all. It looks like when I have more fps the more tearing.

edit. I once tried disabling aero. It instantly caused me tearing even in windowed mode.
