hey guys so i recently opted in for steampipe, so when i got my files converted and installed my custom hud i realized that i was launching tf2 and it was instantly crashing, then i realized that i had deleted these two folders conveniently called resource and scripts that steam made and that afaik have nothing to do with huds at all, so the problem was that i had deleted these two folders which are located in common/tf2/tf, some of my friends were getting the same problem so i kind of inferred that this problem may become common, so i decided to make a thread about it warning people not to delete these two folders when installing your own custom hud (remember your custom hud doesnt go where these two steam created folders are, your own custom hud goes into the custom/"any folder name"), not sure if its worth making a thread about this or not but i thought i might as well.

Tl;dr
Don't delete Resources and scripts in
H:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf
or you get fucked.
Add them to
H:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\"File name here"\

I just did it too. Validating seems to fix it.
