lolsmazdo you guys snipe better with normal sens, high sens or low sens?

When I'm sniping I pretend I'm closing a tab that just opened because I accidentally opened some brony shit that I didn't know was brony shit. Just imagine their head as the little red x on the chrome tab and you'll instantly be 500x better, trust me.

I suck at sniper and I run about 7 inches on it. I think I was better when I had like 3 inches, but those were lobbies so I guess they don't count.

Yeah, that was a bigger question I've always had. It seems when the zoom sens ration idea is brought up the top snipers are split like 50/50 on whether to use it or not.

Any words on that snipers?

I mean I'm not a sniper in any regards but I love to pub it and I found out using .35 to make it roughly 1/3rd as sensitive when I zoom works well.

I'm not a "top sniper," but whatever, I don't touch zoom ratio. As for sensitivity, use what you use for scout/soldier.

yeah i've tried that but it's way too high for me. i've set my zoom_sens to 0.45 and did quite good but recently found it too high now. gonna go lowwwwww

I dunno. I still think it's best to just play with your regular sensitivity, and if it's too high, lower your playing sensitivity overall.

I use a much lower sens for sniping. But I'm terrible so I wouldn't listen to me.

I don't like having it be the same as my scout/soldier because I don't feel as controlled.

I scout/soldier at about 12", and snipe at ....40.9 according to ricco's sens calculator (but that seems a tiny bit high. Probably more like 30-35). I just love the control I feel when I play like that. When I snipe in other games, I keep it at 12 because I feel okay bodyshotting with that- but for clicking on heads I love the lower sens.

I have a DPI button on my mouse (MX518) that I can switch back and forth if I need to do quick turns, or shoot a scout at close range.

It's really easy to get used to having a lower sens for one class. Just go pub for 5 hours and you'll be at like 75% of your potential.

Edit: I snipe plenty on my higher sens, and while I still do well- I don't feel consistent.
