FIXED

Recently I've gotten a computer that is, well, ridiculous. For some reason, when installed it had two hard drives, one with about 50 gigabytes of space and another with nearly two terrabytes. But by default, the computer had installed everything on the 50 gigabyte hard drive, and thus Steam complained that there was not enough space for TF2 to install.

Anyhow, I merely moved Steam to the Terrabyte hard drive, and everything went well for a while. I deleted all the steam related folders from the smaller hard drive to make sure it never got mixed up.

Then today I log on to Steam and find that nothing is installed. TF2 hasn't been, apparently, and there's no room to install it. But there's still the about 99% empty Terrabyte hard drive. For some reason Steam is trying to use the old one again.

Does anyone know how I can get it to use the larger folder? All help appreciated!

steam > settings > downloads + cloud > steam library folders

I THINK

disengagesteam > settings > downloads + cloud > steam library folders

I THINK

I've been exploring that, but I can't figure out how to get it to work. It's set the desktop as the default and is too stubborn to get rid of it, and when I try the other things it always says "NO BYTES USED" and nothing is downloaded

it also keeps complaining that the folder must be empty
