CS 1.6 will have one final LAN. They are pushing a global CS:GO invite lan which is neat. TF2 still goin strong, keep playing!

They never said they were killing off 1.6/Source.

But I wouldn't be surprised if that is their true intention.

"We're absolutely killing it with CSGO S13 sign ups. That's the good news.
The bad news is that we're facing a situation where, in order to keep the divisions competitive, both CS 1.6 and CS: Source would have to be consolidated into one Open division per game. That means no Invite, Main, and Intermediate for CS 1.6, and no Main and Intermediate for CS: Source."

There is only one division in 1.6 and source, and 1.6's invite division is done after this lan. Without a lan or even higher divisions, competition is dead.

But, if they are killing off CS 1.6 and source which have many more players than TF2, shouldn't we be concerned?

after talking with torbull @ lan we shouldn't be too concerned, but we should try to get esea pug system more used.

They're killing them off because a sequel to them is taking off and they want to funnel people & resources into that game.

TF2 should be fine until it dies or TF3 happens.

#5 they are doing that do force 1.6 and source players to migrate to GO, that's pretty much everything.

a bunch of cs1.6 and css players pay for premium only for pugs, and a large number of them would just move to go if their preferred league disappeared. if tf2 goes, 99% of tf2 players would stop paying for esea.

Guessing this would show ESEA that people still play tf2 in competitive format outside ESEA?

As for CS:S, Dynamic will roll it, good luck to PTR and his team because he's the best!
