Mic Problem HELP !!1!1

I didn't know if I should put this in the Hardware or just Off-Topic forum.

I've been having a weird sound problem. It's sorta hard to explain so I made a little video of it. Basically it just disconnects and reconnects my microphone. I usually just restart and it goes away, but sometimes it takes a couple restarts for it to actually go away for good. It's pretty random when it does it. I have no idea where to start to diagnose a problem like this, anyone know anything or have any suggestions?

Thanks :)

Private video.

Maybe you broke a wire somewhere.

Whoops, it's unlisted now. I've tried two different microphones over the last couple months. I thought I solved the problem, but this issue came back.

Are you using a sound card? Have you tried the mics on different machines to see that the problem isn't in the computer and not the mic?

I do not have a sound card. I have not tried the microphone on a different machine, I will look into that. I currently don't have another computer to test on.

Could it be a sound driver issue?

How does your microphone connect to the pc? Is your mic part of your headset? Is it a stand alone microphone? if so, jack plugin? or usb?

Also confirm first if it works on another pc. If it does work good then move on to software(ports/sound driver). If everything is updated then start looking into hardware issues with the pc.

could be a cord issue, but could also be a driver problem.

run devmgmt.msc and go to the audio section and uninstall the driver for your device. Plug it back in and see if it works (if it is built into the motherboard/case, you might have to restart). If that doesn't work, uninstall all audio drivers and restart again.

how is the device plugged in? is it USB or is it straight on the motherboard? you may need to reinstall your chipset drivers.

My microphone is a stand alone and is connected to my motherboard. I'll try reinstalling drivers like you all suggested.
