For the past week or two, my internet has gone from about 30-50 ping on most servers to 130-150, and I don't know why. I live in Minnesota and have Century Link. Does anyone know the issue?

Century link also has a cap that screws me over a lot.

Run a trace route to see if the latency is on your end. My q1000 that was provided started to go bad giving me an extra 100 ms over ethernet. It could be quelled for a half hour by restarting it but it would slowly creep up again.

For once, saltysally might be right, and this issue might have nothing to do with your ISP.
If a router somewhere in the US that used to be in the route that connected you with the server is down, then your packets have to travel some other long way to reach the server, giving you a high latency..
