Hi everyone! I hope you're all well and having a nice start to the week! I'm bringing a beefier update regarding LAN this time around, so I'll try my best to make each segment as digestible as possible! We've been working really hard over at RESUP.gg to bring you the best possible LAN experience and we're beyond excited to share what we have so far!

Team Sign-ups Hard Cap

With the sheer number of potential teams forming and the limited PC space we have reserved, RESUP.gg will be setting a hard 20 team participation cap for this RESUP.gg event. If you haven't already, we urge teams to purchase event tickets as soon as possible for two reasons:

1. Guarantee your spot as an event participant. If you have a team, but fail to register in time (after we reach the 20 team cap) through NerdStreet, you may be disallowed from participating in "The Block" LAN.
2. Allows us over on the RESUP.gg administration side have a more clear, definitive view on who's confirmed attending.

You can purchase tickets here, please make sure everyone on your team is registered on the NerdStreet site so you can add them to the roster inside of the website as soon as possible!

All teams signing up to compete should expect long, busy, and packed schedules from Saturday to Sunday. Check-in will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the venue will remain open until 12 a.m. each day.

June 1st Soft Signup Deadline

Due to the fantastic increase in teams forming and looking to play this LAN event, we'd like to let people know there is potential for a soft deadline for our event and it's recommended that groups purchase event Team Tickets sooner rather than later to reserve your spot in the event that we run out of space! RESUP.GG recommends that all teams planning to attend purchase their event tickets before June 1st to guarantee their spot!

Hey everyone! I hope you're all excited for LAN in Philly in just about a month! I wanted to make a quick post with some smaller updates, just to keep everyone in the loop. I’m happy to announce that I’ve been brought onto the RESUP LAN staff as one of the Tournament Admins, so you can expect to be hearing a lot from me as the event approaches. I’m really excited to be a part of a project that puts the future of our game and community first :)

Event Tickets, Discord

If you haven’t already, you can purchase tickets now! And you can join the RESUP Discord where you can coordinate travel plans with others, communicate plans at the venue, discuss the event, recruit for your teams, and never miss an announcement for current and future RESUP projects!

Speaking of building teams, I’m happy to share that we’re rolling out an official RESUP LAN Team Sheet for all teams and players LFT for the event. If you are looking for that one last piece of the puzzle for your roster, trying to string together a last-minute team from others looking to play, or just want to see who’s going, this is the sheet for you! Probably mechanically better than most of Main on scout, easily good enough to play on a top 4 team in the division. Teams with serious intentions to place or outright win and have the patience to properly teach the format to em have the potential to be greatly rewarded.

I'm not local, but I've been putting together a small travel guide featuring ideas for how to save on flights, some information about the venue and surrounding area, and a great variety of food options around the venue recommended to me by friends and Localhost employees!

Some Unfortunate News

Copenhagen Games 2022 has been cancelled for 2022, unfortunately snuffing out our plans to send both our NA and EU rosters to compete. You can read more about the details here

What Does This Mean for Me?

If you have contributed to our "NA wG to CPH22" fundraiser and have not received your perks, please DM us! Those who have graciously donated but have not received any perks yet (jerseys, demo reviews, item signings, etc) will be entitled to a full, 100% refund upon request! To receive a refund, please contact me personally through Twitter DMs (@witnes_, @WitnessGamingTF), Discord @ Witness#3415, or email @ faulkner.ian@gmail.com with your Indiegogo information and confirmation ID for verification and request of either a refund, or wish to receive your outstanding perk.

We STILL plan on running our raffle, so please standby and keep an eye open on our Twitter and this thread for whenever we call names!

Those who have donated and received desired perks will not be eligible for reimbursement, the funds raised will be saved and instead use to bolster efforts for both our NA and EU teams travel costs for future events.

We're deeply saddened to learn about the sudden cancellation of CPH22, especially after the promising news of rentals becoming available for a large number of teams.

We Did It!

Hello everyone! I hope you've all been having a wonderful holiday season so far! A few things to note in this update but most importantly we have reached out goal of raising $4000! I'm over the moon about this and the support coming in from everyone has been very strong and motivating for myself and the team!

Outstanding/Missing Perks

I'd like to start off by saying that with the closure of our campaign on Indiegogo, our perk list also closes. Thanks to everyone who supported us with these donations and we hope you enjoyed our available list of perks!

That being said, if you have purchased a perk and have NOT received it or an email confirming your status please send me an email @ faulkner.ian@gmail.com OR a DM on Discord #Witness3415 so we can sort out any outstanding perks. Please make sure to include your Contribution ID# in your message so I can help as smoothly as possible.

Please also feel free to provide us any feedback you might have for our perks, how communication was handled, and if you were satisfied with your order as well!

Omicron Status

As reports of Omicron cases and waves report in, we're doing our best to keep a close eye on the situation and hopefully we can make the safe, smart choices as needed when the time comes to travel overseas. There's nothing we can really report on our status travelling at the moment, but we expect more news to become clearer in late February/early March.

Should the LAN be cancelled due to COVID in April of next year, any outstanding and unclaimed perks will be refunded upon request, no questions asked. As previously mentioned, we're keeping our eyes open and fingers crossed!

Conclusion

I'd again like to deeply thank everyone who has made this project possible for the team and myself. This was my first time ever really undertaking a project like this and I felt like I was learning tons along the way! We love you all for helping out and the support just means more than the world to us!

Hi! AFAIK FROYO, and other NA teams have not made their plans public on whether or not they plan to attend. I'm sure if any other NA group was planning to join us, but I'm certain if something were planned we'd be seeing a thread here on TFTV/Twitter, so keep your eyes peeled!

Similarly, I would anticipate rosters being announced or planned on both regions will start popping up in some official capacity as we near closer to the event in April! You can check out the Copenhagen Games 22 TF2 Discord here to always be up to date!
