#269 Razer Arena - TF2 Frag Fest (EU&NA) in TF2 General Discussion
JohnMilterhttps://arena.razerzone.com/tournaments/details/515/255Beu255D-gaming-grids-tf2-frag-fest#participants great turn out for the EU cup

lets get over 10 teams for NA atleast https://arena.razerzone.com/tournaments/details/517/255Bna255D-gaming-grids-tf2-frag-fest#participants

i'd love to play in tonights, i could even throw a team together, but it's at 4pm local and i work full-time, so there's just no way. the east coast west coast thing will always be a thing :/

#32 Youtube trying to make its own version of twitch in Off Topic
TechDudeThe youtube live streams in the past have been awesome because of the live hdr thing where you can zoom back in the current broadcast, then move forward to the live content.

Alright, this would be a totally sweet ability to have on Twitch... to be able to rewind or jump back when I've missed something in a live stream would rock my world.

#17 Youtube trying to make its own version of twitch in Off Topic

I found the UI pretty basic and unintuitive, myself. Doesn't appear to offer anything more to set itself apart?

Twitch gives all of us an insane amount of freedom and power. They've shown that they want to support free content creation, and they've also shown that they don't just exist to capitalize the living crap out of everyone (which youtube has been doing for years, also why I can't stand using it even for music anymore). Twitch also offers anonymity and security by not requiring a ton of personal information. Maybe it'll turn into an android/iOS situation.... but I do agree that competition is healthy, and this has helped me to appreciate Twitch even more.

#21 Presenting the TF2Pickup.net Open Rumble in News
CitroMaindHerganlettowill there be multiple tourneys for several skill tiers or just this one solely for open? i don't think that's made clear in the announcement seeing as foreskings are the first team to sign up there
I think the "Open" means that this tournament is open to everyone to join.
The word "Open" in this case means the division. ETF2L Open Tier teams only.

Does this mean all players have to have played in a registered division to compete? I'm so confuse.

Frost_BiteChinGooHellbentalso if u get some surfboards, set your green screen to a beach, walk around in just trunks and talk to each other in a cali accent that would be greatWhats a cali accentI assume he means the stereotypical "surfer dude" accent and mannerisms.

might as well go all the way and reenact the vollyball scene from top gun...

#1 A Newbie Plea in TF2 General Discussion

Hi. I'm new. I joined the Newbie Mix group a few weeks ago, and discovered that 6's is the most fun part of TF2 I've ever experienced. I learned a lot, and I hope I can continue to. That's where you guys come in.

As much fun as it is to learn this new format, there seem to be a lack of coaches, and I know this community can produce them. We want to learn! We want to play! There are many of us still discovering this game and how amazing it can be, I really hope we can keep the door open for something so integral to a positive newbie experience. Please consider coaching, and helping out some of us TF2children; I'd love to keep fragging, and keep learning.

PS
Thank you to those who organize and run this every week. It's absolutely appreciated.

#11 we need to talk in TF2 General Discussion
KanecoI just hope whoever is doing this can correct his ways. I don't believe we, one of the friendliest and kindest communities I have been part of, deserve to be targeted in such ways.

Agreed. TF2 has hands down some of the most genuine, colorful and fun community members. It's a shame to see it be treated like this.
