Cardinal at the moment is very flawed, even ignoring some of the more subjective map flow stuff there are so many splash bugs, fps, and clipping issues because it's literally an unfinished map.
Which wouldn't be a huge issue if it weren't for this. So cardinal possibly won't be getting the proper support it needs to become a fully realized competitive map, and phi will no longer be working with players to create the map. While phi said she will continue to work on the map(and I genuinely hope that cardinal could end up being a good, seriously played map.) I don't think many of the issues are going to get the proper rework they need without the mapmaker wanting to work with the community. The map seems to be pretty objectively bad at the moment, I only played a bit of cardinal last season and my team honestly didn't take playing the map too seriously, but we still noticed a lot of the problems pointed out in the map thread that to me seem to be very core issues with the map.
The current map banning system makes finding worthwhile scrims a lot more difficult because a lot of the time you end up having to scrim a map you autoban or aren't playing that particular week. Also finding out what map you're going to be playing 24 hours before match time is really terrible and there needs to be more notice for the system to work.
