We need to have 1 scheduled one so that we can advertise it properly. I'm still hoping for next saturday as it gives enough time to try and get a list of mentors who are available and a bunch of new people time to buy a mic/download mumble/learn rollouts

The Overdose
One problem that occurred the last time the newbie mixes were running was that open and IM players decided to play in them instead of pug.na and just destroy some of the newer players. If you're not gonna mentor please don't come in to just get easy kills on people learning the game.
have you guys thought about casting for EXTV?
yes. you can join if you have like 5 hours of tf2
I've kind set a tentative date of September 22nd next saturday at 8 pm est for the newbie mix. Is that time okay for everyone? Lets start making a list of people who are available to help on that date for any amount of time.
I know it's long but i do appreciate it if you take the time to read this.
If you don’t want to help or don’t care about growing tf2, then please leave. Nobody is gonna force you to care or make you help but there’s no reason to put down those that do want to help.
I don’t get it. Every little thing that this community could do to grow the game is not being done. Comp Tf2 is not popular enough to grow without the support of the majority of the community and without a little bit of effort.
The easiest thing that everyone can do is to not be assholes to new people. That includes the highlander community. Highlander players are willing to play in a competitive format and might decide to play sixes if they like it. Telling them they suck and their game is not real competitive tf2 harms the growth of 6v6 tf2. So many new people are turned off by playing because people would rather tell them how bad they are at the game. Lets be open to all communities and people willing to join us.
Along with that lets please bring back the 6v6 newbie mixes. I know its tough during the season but I think enough people from high open to invite have the time to hold a newbie mix once a month. I watch streams all the time and theres new people watching and wanting to play tf2 every single day. In the offseason we should try and hold one of these mix nights once a week. I realize that people are busy and do other things but theres 4000 registered users on natf2. Theres enough people to pick up the slack when others are busy. Ill talk to Vick and see when he’s available but lets set a tentative date for next Saturday the 22nd at 8 est.
The most important thing that we can do is support EXTV. I know they’ve been slacking recently and that they need to step up a bit as well but we as the community can also do our part. I’ve talked to EXTV and hopefully ill be making posts/announcements about casts on here and other forums like Reddit and UGC and possible SPUF. When I post on other sites about casts please upvote/plusfrag and comment.
Last night there were 2 different casts for the nNn vs Chess Club match and none of them were on EXTV. Part of that is EXTVs problem but why are people casting on different channels? If you’re willing to cast at all contact anyone in EXTV. All you need is to not be racist/bigoted. If you can’t do that for 30 minutes a day I don’t know what to say.
EXTV also needs cameramen. If you have any capability of streaming at all please try and help out.
Last thing is that theres 4000 users on natf2. lets say theres 1000 unique users. A lot of people don’t enjoy watching extv but if all those users just opened up an extv cast and put it on mute and continued on with whatever they were doing that would bring so many viewers to extv. This was done during Seanbud’s stream of i46. That’s a potential 500-1,000 more viewers. If you don’t have the bandwidth or the cpu power that’s fine but this is something that small that could help a ton. I’ve heard that all that matters is average length of time that a user watches a stream (twitchTVjohn?)
Thanks for reading and if you agree/disagree with anything ive said let me know or if you’re willing to help please comment.

at about the 53 minute mark.
saw this posted at etf2l. thought you guys might be interested.
pretty cool
i see where you're coming from but i just meant that it might like more official if there was a link at the top saying "how to get your stream added" and inside you could post some requirements like having to have streamed x amount of hours or have it be at your discretion.
I just thought it might help newer people not have to look through old threads or make posts about it
you should add a request option or something for people to apply to get their stream on here instead of a thread
