I just want to know how this part works

"All players will be allowed to play in RGL, but no more than one of them can be roster/play on the same team."

So you would need at LEAST 7 invite teams to field the 'current' froyotech members. Are there even 7 invite teams? (I actually don't know). Then b4nny could potentially just pickup a bunch of his prior teammates (like one other person mentioned) and say 'but they're not actually froyotech'. So it is a bit confusing how the actual cap would play out.

as an example, Thaigrr has a 89.49 ka/d final when 89+34/69 = 1.78

You're right, forgot some parenthesis

#1 i63 Grand Finals Stats in TF2 General Discussion

Hello all,

I made an excel spreadsheet with the stats from the i63 Grand Finals between Froyotech and Se7en

I used the data from the 5 maps on


I didn't know how to copy paste all of the stats off of that site properly so I had to manual enter the stats (hopefully no transcribing errors). I only took stats I felt were relevant.

* Towards the bottom is the total stats through the 5 maps. The stats for Starkie and adysky are of course off since they swapped their roles for Map #4 - Granary.

* For 'average kills/damage/deaths per game' stat, I "corrected" for the role swap of Starkie and adysky by dropping the stats of granary and then dividing by 4 games. Everyone else is just their total divided by 5 games.

* I lastly ranked the players by some of the stats. However, I was mainly focused on damage classes so the meds (cookiejake and Starkie) aren't included for rankings. Since adysky played one map as medic his numbers for the rankings are off

Observations (but I don't play 6s, I just enjoy watching):

- b4nny and habib of course have good stats
- garbuglio's stats are pretty crazy. High damage numbers with very low heals received (I think averaging about 13%). Also 33 airshots.

As always, these are just some stats and performance can't truly be judged solely based on them.

Thanks for the effort put into this. I enjoyed it a lot. Except for Damage per Kill - doesn't seem to reveal anything.
The stat that I found the most interesting or at least found to reveal the most about team playstyle was the team heal percentage.

Some events ran 2 hours long, so I'm pretty sure they take up 2 blocks. The "nothing happens" is just the 2nd hour of that event.

....or people were joining the stream in anticipation of the event they actually wanted to see.

The advantage is only a problem if you look at it as an 'advantage'. It really is just a team needs to lose twice to be knocked out of the tournament. Ronin lost twice. Froyotech lost once.

Its just like having a bo3 game again, but just in case the underdog team wins, then they can play the second game immediately after. If the second bo3 had been scheduled for the following night and then Ronin won the first map again and Froyo the next two, I doubt you would even raise an issue since you wouldn't be looking at it as "Ronin won 3 maps, Froyo won 2 maps"

#1 Do highlevel TF2 players use default key bindings? in TF2 General Discussion

In particular I'm wondering if the default jump and crouch buttons are used by high level players? I've always found that combination tough for rocket jumping.

#377 Comanglia's Config / FPS Guide in Customization

I was previously using Chris's HighFrames cfg, but was sticking to around 30-40 FPS. I figured it was just because I was using a laptop (i7-3615 QM @ 2.3GHz, GeForce GT 630M, 8GB RAM). I went through your cfg and added in things that I didn't have and my FPS
dx 81 is ~240 FPS.
dx 90 it's ~100 FPS.

Is such a FPS rise ordinary, or was something messing with my game?

Second question is you talk about framecaps being good for some CPUs due to overheating. If I am able to get 240 FPS, but cap it at 132, should I start adding in some of the effects that I had disabled since I have about 100 FPS to spare? Previously I was just disabling things to get up to my 30-40 FPS.

Should I even use the framecap at all? Does it really make a difference?

Just curious:

Do you plan on having this event as an annual thing or more frequently?

The reason I ask is that while MvM is not the most complicated thing in the world there is quite a bit more to it than just learning "the meta" for an hour. While I understand that a course in learning the metagame is probably the best introduction for new players trying to break into MvM...I don't think it lives up to the potential of what a "Master Class" in MvM could be. There is quite a lot to know and learn about how all of the upgrades actually compare to each other, mechanics, and other small things outside of just having good DM ability.

The reality is that MvM is plagued by the meta mentality, where players believe that it is the ONLY way to win a game. It really is populated by some very toxic players. I'd hate to see a "Masters Class" only really highlight the metagame. A class in how to properly play Pyro and Spy would be much more interesting...and it's more needed. Every 12 year old is quickly indoctrinated into the Meta when starting into MvM. "Do it this way...or get kicked"

All of that said, this project is pretty neat and I could see it morphing into something huge. I'm always supportive of anyone who makes content, especially in TF2 where you can't exactly rely on Valve for anything and most everything is done through the community.
