#6 choppiness in Q/A Help

Does your in game fps counter drop when it stutters? If so, you need to lower settings, turn off gibs, use a config etc.

Otherwise idk, its happened to me before and just went away before i found a solution

flippers
how exactly do i check for packet loss, not really sure how. Also, by how's your HDD i guess you mean the condition of my hard drive, how would i check the condition of my hard drive.

Go on speedtest.net (i think, or something similar) but that only applies if your on wireless

Computers do funny things when theyre low on hdd space, as they cant store temp files. Check if your hdd0is low on space (my computer)

#1 How to beat a super team in TF2 General Discussion

If LG play like normal tomorrow, no matter how on form they are, I dont think they can beat mixup. What should they change to swing the games in their favor? More kritz at first mid? Spy plays? Dave ac Rocket jumper market gardener?

#2 mumble/tf2 help in Q/A Help

Same thing happens to me. Don't have a fix, but just to clarify, it's just the very first shot after starting tf2. After that, it's fine.

#7 Dingalings in TF2 General Discussion
Stochast1cThe file that tf2 defaults to is in sound/ui called hitsound.wav. Just replace that file with your new hit sound (renaming the file to hitsound.wav) and it should work.

There is no hitsound.wav in sound/ui. The files are

gamestartup1
gamestartup2
...
gamestartup11
tv_tune
tv_tune2
tv_tune3

and a "holiday" folder.

I have put my hitsound.wav in, but it isnt working.

wareyaAre you sure it's in sound/ui and not just ui?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\boo560\team fortress 2\tf\sound\ui

The one with the game startup tunes

wareyatf_dingaling_wav_override is deprecated, now you install dingalings like you install HUDs

tf/sound/ui/dingaling.wav

Did that and it didn't work.

In my ui folder I have dingaling.wav

I restart tf2, go in game, and have default hitbeeps.

Restart steam maybe?

#1 Dingalings in TF2 General Discussion

I've installed a custom hit sound, and I have

play "hitbeep.wav"
tf_dingalingaling "1"
tf_dingaling_volume "1"
tf_dingaling_pitchmindmg "150"
tf_dingaling_pitchmaxdmg "1"
tf_dingaling_wav_override "\ui\hitbeep.wav"

in my autoexec, but when I exec autoexec, I get

Failed to load sound "hitbeep.wav", file probably missing from disk/repository
Can't set fps_max when connected
Unknown command: tf_dingaling_wav_override

And vanilla hit sounds just keep playing. What am I doing wrong?

#6 Server troubles in Q/A Help
thinkHazSwagWhen I turn on my server, soap isn't running.
It should be.. Did you install SourceMod, Metamod, and SDK hooks as well? They are needed to run SoapDM.

I just reinstalled them in that order, then soapdm, without my server running. I started my server and it's the same, just normal tournament mode. Maybe it's my cfg? I'm using the UGC 6v6 standard cfg (was the first one I found).

#4 Server troubles in Q/A Help
thinkYou don't really need to manually turn Soap DM on or off, it's smart enough to know when it should or shouldn't be turned on. Why do you need to manually control it?

When I turn on my server, soap isn't running. It's just normal tournament mode. How do I start soap running in the first place?

omp
If you really want to do it though:
sm plugins load soap_tf2dm
sm plugins load soap_tournament

sm plugins unload soap_tf2dm
sm plugins unload soap_tournament

You can even modify the soap_live.cfg and soap_notlive.cfg files to have soap_tournament load/unload other server plugins.

Where do I put these commands? In the server console returns "Unknown command "sm"

Thanks
