#1 “dxlevel” launch option in linux in Q/A Help

Linux doesn't have DirectX. I don't know if Valve made some kind of compatibility layer, or did a proper port to OpenGL (I expect the latter).

Either way - does this launch options or config setting do anything for the Linux client?
I am using Arch btw.

#1 Dx 8 in ingame Matchmaking ? in TF2 General Discussion

I may be wrong but it seems there is a bug that allows DX8 players to queue up in Matchmaking if u (DX 8 player) invite a DX9 player.

Can anyone confirm this? Also if its true, does the game crash when the queue is complete? I cannot test it unfortunately since the queue up time in asian servers is very long

sagewhat do you mean blurryness
mat_viewportscale ?
640x480 will look blurry if you stretch it in your screen unless if you use a CRT

blurryness in a sense that i cant see distant objects/players.

my mat_viewportscale is set to 1

i am using a LCD guess i ll switch to CRT

#1 4:3 resolution help in Q/A Help

Is there a way to remove bluriness in 640x480 resolution without sacrificing performance?

I am using a toaster btw

edit: i am using 800x 600 now so the problem is solved.
