#1 quick medi beam question in Q/A Help

was watching some older pyyyour vids, and i can't figure out what settings make his medi beam look mostly transparent like in this video:

http://www.twitch.tv/pyyyour/c/1751779

I've been searching for a while now and it doesn't look like he's on dx9, but when i run dx8 my medibeam has a bright whiteness to it, like teleporters. Maybe i'm just an idiot, but does anyone have any ideas?

Hey, i'm sam. I used to play pocket in open but apparently my pocket play kills teams so now i'm playing medic. I'm looking for some experienced medic main in im+ to watch demos with me so i can get better as quickly as possible.

#4 lf a scout mentor in Mentoring

catgroove is literally my favorite person in tf2

he's improved a ton since he decided to be good at scout, and you'd have trouble finding a more dedicated and awesome person to help out at videogames.

#4 Open Roamer LFT in Recruitment (looking for team)
SyathI as well as some other people I know have had good experiences starting out in UGC. The winning S14 Steel UGC team No fetus can beat us is now an Open team in ESEA. You could at least give it a shot.

yo we didn't win, we got knocked out of playoffs second week.

Starting in ugc or esea doesn't really matter, its just whatever you're comfortable with and can find a team on. you'll probably improve faster on an esea team just because of playing with better people overall, but ugc is a bit easier to get into.

#10 i52 Media Coverage in TF2 General Discussion
GetawhaleWould love to see live cams watching each of the teams to capture big moments, big wins, any big reactions from the teams themselves. Especially during big matches or finals.

Something like the CSGO ESEA LAN had with the team cameras would be awesome. It was great to see the reactions of the team members whenever something big happened.

#5 Roamer LFT Low-Mid Open in Recruitment (looking for team)

cool guy, pretty good roamer with a lot of potential, wants to improve more than most. i could see him being really good pretty quickly if he got on a team that practiced and scrimmed a lot.

#1 looking for pocket mentor in Mentoring

Hey, I'm Sam and I'm looking for a pocket mentor (ideally IM+) to help me review my demos or spec scrims and do general mentor things with me.

I played about a half season of open last season as pocket, and next season I'll be playing open pocket again. I'm dedicated to improving and always watch all my demos from scrims and such, but i think i've reached the point where having someone more experienced than I go over my play will be more beneficial than me figuring out my mistakes alone.
