#9 Scout movement in TF2 General Discussion

Mirroring movement isn't movement that's hard to hit; in fact, it's generally a lot easier to kill people who try to mirror exclusively. however, you want to mirror somebody's movement to make it easier for you to hit your own shots. It's situational. movement that makes it hard for the other scout to meatshot you is sort of the opposite of mirroring, where you just make sure they're in the middle of your screen.

edit: this is obviously all situational, but it's good when learning to try to follow a guideline and see what works for you

#17 blaze or seagull in TF2 General Discussion
DaijouBlaze is the best roamer NA has ever had imho
Playing with enough ping to make some EU players leave rosters as a roamer, playing smartly and being able to do such consistent work as roamer is why he's the best. Even if he doesn't have the DM skills as Mike, his knowledge of the game and his timing make him way more effective and lethal, specially in maps like product

I'm not saying blaze is or isn't the best, but he doesn't get that much more ping than the average soldier, as he gets around 50 on scoreboard.

#48 How to make PugChamp better in TF2 General Discussion

I just asked a bunch of top invite players and they all said they never played in it nor were they asked, almost all of whom still want an invite only pug system. Something's not adding up.

I'm not sure how you could expect those to be run when not a single one of my teammates, besides maybe Vand (since he was an admin), was invited to that though. I have one of the most pugs on that website, I asked at least once a week after the domain was up but servers weren't connected to it, but tsc and erynn just replied that they were busy, which is fine.

I seriously don't believe the website was ever up with servers connected past the beta/alpha phase. I checked the website and I asked tsc/erynn frequently. It's definitely not the players' fault if I had to put in that much effort to not even see an official opening, not beta.

#41 How to make PugChamp better in TF2 General Discussion
AlexandrosfemmebruleeI would likely not play Pugchamp without captaining, there are too many factors that ELO doesn't take into account. Personality, playstyle, maincalling ability, etc. - captain discretion is what can make teams work.

A long time ago, it was discussed about having an Invite/IM and Open Pugchamp. Could we start that? It would enable more pugs to begin and Open players wouldn't continually be fatkidded by b4nny pug cycles.

It was made, at least for invite players, but no one used it

I can assure you it was either never ready to be used, or not a single invite player knew it was ready for use.

#7 no froyo @ i61? in TF2 General Discussion
saamTraxgarte. If you can prepare for a LAN you don't even know its gonna happen like Rewind LAN, you could've also prepared for i61.
Preparing for an NA lan is a $400 plane ticket and a hotel room.

to LAX, usually cheaper than that honestly

#47 tf2 at i61 possible? in TF2 General Discussion
CyanicBrenNo prizepool announced, don't get your hopes up just yet about international attendance. I know people don't exactly play Tf2 for the prize money but if the prizepool is significantly lower (because of Multiplay restructuring esports internally) this could mean higher fundraising goals to help cover the costs.

Nice to see something confirmed tho cu@

can't froyo just use the money from sigafoo 7s to cover the cost lol

Do u know how much a plane ticket to europe is, along with the many other expenses

#103 ESEA has outlived it's usefulness in TF2 General Discussion
Starry_NebulaeHow does etf2l do it then? they manage to play with barely any prize pool and still get top competition. Also I know it sounds cruel, but getting rid of a few players to preserve the game is for the better imo, even if it's the top of the league leaving (not saying this is what the case will be if we change leagues somehow)

this is the notion that 90% of the people in this thread don't understand; europe only ever had one league, while na has multiple and we would also be switching leagues. why it is not even a comparison should not need an explanation.

#67 ESEA has outlived it's usefulness in TF2 General Discussion

skeez/rando/saam/lucrative's posts are all the truth unfortunately

You simply can't switch leagues in a declining scene / old game, because you're not gonna get even 75% of the teams to switch unless there is a huge incentive like LAN and/or prize money
