TwilitlordDoes he have multiple monitors? In the screen resolution window, before clicking "Advanced Settings", make sure he has the correct monitor selected, otherwise it will only give you refresh rate options for the other monitor. It will list itself as "Generic PnP monitor" with almost any monitor; that just means it doesn't require any drivers.
Also, are you sure he has the right monitor? the 144hz is the VG248QE.
He has one monitor and the v248H is 120hz.
Hey, my friend is having trouble with his new pc build. He got an Asus v248H 120hz monitor, but when he tries to change the refresh rate it is listed as a generic pnp monitor and it will not go passed 60hz. He has windows 8.1 and a Geforce 780ti.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
GetawhaleA lot of people actually set their game to play at 720p resolution - no downscaling then, less work.
What is your bitrate set to when you stream? I assume you use OBS, assuming you also use 30fps.
My bitrate was 3500 but I just changed it 2000. I stream 60 fps.
So I have two minor problems here.
First, when I try to stream with no downscale at 1920x1080 I can maintain solid fps but there's a strange sort of jitter. When I down scale it by 1.25 it goes away so it's not a huge problem. I have tried using v-sync on and off but no fix.
Second, my friend told me there was a lot of buffering for him, and since I am not partnered there is no quality option. Is there anything I can do to help that?

Tried out for my team, couldn't pick him up due to roster changes sadly. He would have definitely been our med though if we didn't switch someone we already had on med. Try him out
StarzZI didnt get to watch much so I only have one quick tip, on middles try and commit a little more. Get a scout and demo maybe to protect your med. Try and take highground and things like that.
