legit is gonna show you guys the true banana power

Im running a 16 slots tf2 server on a linux vps (ubuntu 16.04) and the server always has some small "freezes" that last about a sec and this is really annoying me, any ideas on what it could be?

server specs:
1vcpu (2.20ghz)
2gb ram
OpenVZ
1gpbs shared connection (got about 300mpbs on a speedtest)

cpu usage is about 60% when the server is full, about 600mb/2gb of ram being used swap is usually on 0/256mb.

I'd say those spikes happen 6-7 times on a 30 minute match. I tried changing the niceness to values like -10 and -20 but it didnt help much.

From the few benchmarks i've seen i haven't noticed any big performance loss. I dont think the patch will affect games as much since they dont need to access the kernel as often

Hey, thanks everyone for the support, this means a lot to us, specially because we come from a small scene that is even smaller nowadays. The core of this team (me, legit, akrom, ninjax) won ugc season 25 and all the players placed from 1st to 3rd on the last chapelaria season. For future plans we are aiming winning both chapelaria and UGC South America.

About the LBTF, yeah it is dead. For the ones who dont know what that is it was the biggest south american league. I've heard some rumors of it coming back, but nothing confirmed. I think it would take some extra work for the lbtf to come back and compete with other leagues, mostly because it still use a phpbb forum that hasnt been updated since 2007 to organize the tournaments.

There is a small community that speedrun super mario 64 rom hacks with some being some really hard stuff, its really fun to watch imo

Just to clarify a few things, there isnt a south american team going anymore. Initially we built a team that planned to go to rewind but due to some internal problems the team folded. Also the south american scene is on a rough moment right now, almost all the good players left for overwatch so even if the team went it would probably get destroyed.
