Looking for advise: single player games

I have the same thing. I basicially don't enjoy singleplayer games these days. The only games I fully enjoy are either the games I liked in my childhood or games that are related to these games.
Older ones:
- Zeus and Poseidon & The Settlers II (10th anniversary) are citybuilders I personaly like the most.
- God of War games (the old ones atleast, dunno about the new one)
- I never liked modern RPG's. The only RPG I ever fell in love with, besides the original pokemon games, is Dragon Quest VIII. With the same classic battlesystem as pokemon basicially.
- Hitman: Blood Money
- Crash Team Racing
Newer ones
- The latest Hitman if you like stealth games.
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
- Bioshock: Infinite is probably the only FPS singleplayer I ever completed.

Sorry for bumping a 3-year old thread. But I have exactly the same problem.
When I'm the only person using the internet, I don't experience any lag issues. Whenever someone starts watching a youtubevideo or something similar, I'll get lagspikes. I think it started when I bought a new pc. However, I also got lag recently on my old laptop, which I never experienced before. So I don't really know what exactly the problem is.
Could the problem be, explained in [#10], be the cause?
