#7 Changing settings. in Customization
Astrin_maybe if you have a 'custom' folder shortcut, install a HUD crosshair and remove the 'custom' folder shortcut to make changing them a task and not so accesible so you will need to go through the work of going through files.

That's a good idea. I use a crosshair switcher, so I can just remove the shortcut on my desktop. I will try this.

#1 Changing settings. in Customization

Hello! For a while now, I have had an issue with changing my settings. In tf2, I find myself changing my crosshair all the time and in csgo I cannot keep a consistent resolution. I am the type of player who is constantly striving to get better, so I feel the need to try and find the best settings for me, but I feel like when I play better with one setting it's just because I'm feeling good that day. I have no way to tell if it's the settings or some external factor.

I do this, not because I am playing poorly, I am just indecisive of what works best for me. My thought process; Oh, I wonder if I try this crosshair, will I play better? hmm, what about this crosshair?

I don't really change anything else besides this

It's a never ending loop that I would like to get out of. If anyone else has this problem or has a solution please tell me.

and please don't say to just not change it, that's like telling a drug addict to stop doing drugs.

#63 CSGO revolver in CS2 General Discussion

Damage Control

10 Dec 2015 -

On Tuesday we shipped some major gameplay changes in CS:GO including the R8 Revolver, and players have been voicing legitimate concerns over the balance of the weapon as shipped.

While it typically takes more time to generate enough data to drive an update (and gameplay updates are always a bit disruptive), in this case it’s clear that we got the damage wrong and can respond immediately.

So today we’re updating the R8 Revolver to bring its values to be more in line with other weapons: among other changes, its damage has been reduced and it takes slightly longer to fire.

As experience with other new weapons (e.g., CZ75a and M4A1-S) has shown us, it may require several iterations over a longer period to find the stable values that create interesting strategic choices for players. We’re committed to monitoring usage and adjusting the values as required.

Tuesday’s update also included several other changes to gameplay (including a rebalancing for pistols and rifles). It’s still too early to determine their impact but we’re just as committed to monitoring the new meta and ensuring that as CS:GO continues to evolve, it remains fun, skillful, and balanced.

Does anybody know the actuation force for the old switches? I would like to know the old ones so I can compare.

#4 MAJOR CS:GO update for 12/8/15 (Winter Update) in CS2 General Discussion

The revolver is really weird, the primary is like a charge up and the secondary is super inaccurate. I'm going to stick with the deagle.

I'm liking the new ak though. Can't believe they made longer bomb timers standard now though.

Edit: oh wait, I think they reduced the mm time, and increased the pro time, which I guess makes sense.

#171 The Keyboard Thread (last updated Sep. 24, 2013) in Hardware

Thread is stickied, hopefully I don't get in trouble for this.

Any suggestions for a keyboard with brown cherry switches? I am looking for one ~$100 or less

I would also like one that has no number pad and is small and somewhat flat.

#13 Should I get a new mouse? in Hardware

Yeah, I just noticed that my palm does not rest on the mouse at all, just my fingertips and the very back of my hand on the very back of the mouse. I guess this would be a fingertip grip. With the DA, the back right of my hand touches the heel, and with an ambidextrous mouse I think it would touch it all which would improve control. I kind of like to lean the back of my hand on the very end of the mouse, I guess this would be the ass, so the ZA would be better in this respect. I don't think the FK2 would be too small though.

I don't really want a mouse the same as a deathadder, I'm looking for something that would be better suited to my grip and size, although the deathadder works well.

From the back of my hand where I actually touch to where my hand ends is about 16 cm. Length wise, I think the fk2 or ZA12 would be perfect, as they are just slightly smaller than the DA, which is a very tiny bit too long. As for the hump, my hand completely clears it on the DA, so I don't think it would matter on the zowie.

I think I'll go with the ZA12, just because you said that it feels smaller than the deathadder but I don't want to go too small. Then again, the FK2 is made specifically for my grip...

ugggggg lol

Edit: picture, great idea - If you need a different view I can provide that. Thanks so much guys <3

I know I'm lifting the mouse up so it may seem as if this is a different grip, but it's the exact same as normal, I assure you.

Does that hump feel about the same as the deathadder?

disengageIf shipping wasn't so much I'd send you one of my broken FKs just so you could feel the shape

Aw thanks. I don't really feel comfortable giving out my address to anyone anyways, even though I know you are a reputable person. :D

I just realized that DA is deathadder and you now have a ZA11. How would you say it is to the fk? It's a bit bigger, but other than that is it the same?

#6 Should I get a new mouse? in Hardware

I've decided to get one, but I'm confused about the zowie ZA12 and the fk2. Is there any real difference? The size is practically the same. The fk2 is a bit cheaper but that is not a big deal.

#5 Should I get a new mouse? in Hardware

Thank you all. As for checking it out in a store, I would love too, it's just I have been to just about every hardware store in my area and none have any zowie mice. I may look around more but I don't think I could find one. Nobody I know has one either. Is there some other thing you would suggest? Could anyone possibly compare it to a deathadder? I'm liking the fk2 because it's lighter and smaller, which I would like, although the deathadder is fine, I just don't know if the fk would be better.

The other thing is, if I get it for Christmas which I plan on doing, and I don't like it, I can probably return it, and if I do like it, I can sell my deathadder for a pretty decent amount.

#1 Should I get a new mouse? in Hardware

I currently have a razer deathadder chroma which works perfectly fine and have had it for a few months. I am considering getting a zowie fk2 for christmas, as I may like it better. I have a very profound claw grip, and my hands are somewhat small.

I am wondering if anybody has experience with both, or just wants to give advice, and if it would be worth it to get a new mouse after such a short amount of time. I am also open to other mice, but I don't really like how the other ones hold like the logitech. I don't ever go to LAN.
