kirbyTaco, I worded it incorrectly then I guess. I was questioning why it's okay to say how awesome HL is, but why it's not okay for someone to explain why they don't like HL. Now I know people will just end up saying something about the way it was presented blah blah, but I've seen people nicely say why they don't like HL and have been bashed on.

But it doesn't bother me that 6s players don't like Highlander at all. It just gets annoying that in every highlander thread some random guy comes in and posts that HL is shitty when that isn't remotely related to the thread topic
Now if there was a thread about "what you like/dislike about Highlander", then I don't care if 6s players bash it, it's their opinions. As long as they aren't derailing all the other threads in this section just to say they don't like the HL format like some of them continuously do

kirbyTaco, when did I say anything at all about HL sucking? I was questioning how people can come to an HL forum and express how awesome the game is to them and how everyone is cool with it, but the second someone comes in and explains why he doesn't like HL, then it's suddenly a shitty thing to say. I've played highlander at least one time only, I wouldn't have room to speak badly about it like you seem to think I'm trying to do.

miyariI really wish HL players would stop acting like all of the invite players are higher-grade bullies picking on them at recess. Grow up, all of you. If they don't like it and they don't respect it and you do, who gives a fuck. Keep your shit alive, you don't need invite TF2 players to keep HL popular or further the future of TF2 or any of that shit. Kill the bad attitudes and just roll with it and just see where shit goes. I'm sure both sides would be amazed at how little the other side actually cares about this pointless elitism and quarreling.
The truth of the matter is that some people are not going to respect a format. They aren't going to like a certain way to play a game. I'm sorry, that's how it works. To be honest, I rarely see invite players making global statements about how HL is some sort of inferior game type and that they're just super special amazing people because they like to conform to 6v6. Is this really such a widespread issue? No offense to any HL players, but I see the accusations way more than I see the actual insults. I'm not even trying to defend invite players or anything but what in the fuck, it's just an endless stream of whining. If they don't like it, WHO CARES? They aren't killing TF2, this endless bickering and elitism attitude (from both sides) is.
I'm not going to blame the whole 6s commuunity or invite players like some members may do, but there are a ton of 6s players that come to this Highlander section just to say shit about Highlander.
I'm newer to these forums, so I don't know much, but from what I see most threads here are on topic then a 6s player comes in and makes a joke about HL sucking.

This was in the highlander forum. I'm not sure if he's blind, mentally challenged, or what, but why do members like this even come to this section of the site?
Oh and before anyone calls me a highlanderfag, I play in both HL and 6s as medic. I enjoy them both; maybe HL a little more. What you like to play is just a personal preference and there's no need for there to be constant flaming between the 2 communities. It's supposed to be fun for everyone.
