that was more or less my understanding of scout history. carnage created the aggressive style and yz was the first "dm lord" scout as it were. sorry if that term has any sort of negative connotation to it i just dont have a better way to put it lmao

lucrativecarnage entering this game was truly the biggest meta shift of all time imo. No one played an in your face scout until he came around

thank you for adding this, i literally thought i had remembered this aspect of tf2 history wrong because i assumed if it were true it would have been in his blurb. wish i had seen what it was like for a player to redefine a metagame to that extent in real time

I gotta say I've always wished that we delved a bit deeper into statistical discussions more in tf2 but these "per hour" stats have basically never been used (as far as I can remember and I've been around for a while)before this list and it's a little bit jarring to see them presented so casually. I have no basis for this stuff because stats were so shit with esea and they're not really tracked (as far as I know) by RGL. IS 50 FPH a lot? Apparently. What's the average fph for an invite scout, or pocket? I have no idea.
Just a minor thing that's been bugging me for a bit here. Would love to do more stuff with stats going forward tho.

glassTHEBILLDOZERWhovianPeople really bagging on the boomers this list includes? You don't see people trashing Athletes from back in the day because there times are shit in comparison to current records. So why we judging players who competed on shit box 2008 PCs without MGE, Aim trainers, Jump Maps and 13 extra years of strategy refinement? Honest question?I don't think it's bad for boomers to be at any place on this list if they have a big impact on the development of the scene and good results.
That being said, people absolutely, 100% downplay Babe Ruth for hitting 700 home runs against a league of white alcoholic farmers
somehow no one else managed to hit 700 home runs in the 1920s and 1930s, despite the competition being white alcoholic farmers. what gives?

you have to remember though, if you took babe ruth and put him in the modern day, with the training facilities, and nutritionists, and scientists that are in the game now, he still probably wouldnt be able to beat froyotech
