DarkNecridI can't check my alt at the moment but we've had 1 or 2 reports of that happening, it just magically clears up randomly. It's one of the other reasons it seems to be server side on Valve's end. But plenty of people from when it was originally discovered still had broken games while others had theirs fixed in a day or two. Hopefully others that can check their accounts will chime in.

DarkNecridSpooky_VerkauferAnyone with a fix yet?? I have HL tonight and this will be quite a problem :(
There isn't a known fix for the specific issue we're having, no, and unless Valve fixes it before match time you're probably boned.
With the Error Message Handling being messed up, it's hard to say if #17 is even having the same issue as us, but it's pretty unlikely because even with a full Steam & TF2 folder wipe and refresh install with Steam Cloud off (so it isn't pulling anything over) the game still crashes.
Hmm.. Well is anyone else having issues launching other games since you have received this crash?
