Right around when the uber pause bug was introduced, I was in a faceit pug. We had to pause for some reason during the pug, and their medic (delete) had the auto-heal on so they built uber during pauses, whereas our medic (luxor) didn't have it on so no uber.
Once we unpaused, the other team realized something terrible was going on. Corsa proceeds to pause the pug during every push/mid to build uber. We would roll out to mid, and they would have uber. We would win mid and go to their last or second, they would have uber. No matter how well or poorly we played, Corsa would pause the pug and build uber so they had uber ad.
I think we tied or won the pug somehow but i honestly don't remember

You kind of responded to your own question there. Only picking the pug maps is probably going to be bad long-term strategy if you want to have a good map pool when it's playoffs time.

There's nothing wrong with personally disliking bo1 pick/ban but I fail to see how being the "div under invite" matters here. Maybe I am missing something. What exactly is your argument other than "I don't like playing the pug maps over and over again."

okyaaaReal ones remenber cp_croissant HL (same season as Haunt).
_Kermit I honestly remember this map kinda fondly from HL, it was big enough that it didn't feel super crowded like a lot of other cp maps.
yeah the map is so big and has so many doors you can run behind and just start taking 1v1s pretty much whenever you want
cp_croissant is a terrible HL map in serious enviroments but it's an awesome pug map
I have a lot of fond memories playing it in horrific pugs.
