#65 ESEA S17 LAN - Day 2 in Events
flamewhos hating? I'm saying nobody else is willing to take the risk of using it as a profession so there's nobody else that's going to put in the amount of time and dedication it'll take to 1up him in ESEA/CEVO.

So because no one else is willing to put in the time, means its OK to post public disapproval of his accomplishments?

"I'm never going to be as good, nor will I try to be as good as b4nny, though I'm sour when he continues to win LAN."

OK so I get it. Its OK to shit on someone else's parade if they possess something that you're not able to obtain. This "don't congratulate froyo, and downfrag those who do" mindset fragments the community, when it should be giving people drive to study them.

Which is why in my first post I suggested that the invite community seems to pass off b4nnys skill in the game as 'time = skill' and I believe that anyone has the capability if they could get through mental blocks and be willing to learn something from him. I mean... Obviously the guy is doing something right.

Everyone dreams they can beat b4nny at LAN but nobody seems to try and beat him at his own game, they just keep trying to push a round peg through a square whole.

#60 ESEA S17 LAN - Day 2 in Events

ESEA LANs, CEVO LANs, community LANs, i series events, twitch, merch, YouTube.

If he decides to pursue tf2 for an income, is it worth hating him for it?

I don't get the hostility towards froyo. People get downfragged for saying "gg" or congratulating them.
Yea, maybe b4nny is ridiculous at this game, but maybe that says something about his competition. Study his play, he's become such a staple it seems like the invite community almost gives up on trying to learn anything from him because he's godlike at the game.

Kudos to him for being so good he wins international LANs & NA league regularly. Kudos to his team from learning from him season after season. Kudos on kicking the communities ass on demo and scout. And congrats on managing to make a little bit of a living off this game.

#5 conductor lft in Recruitment (looking for team)

Twenty five years. Twenty five years, and I never killed a single person until a few months ago. Now I'm on death row for multiple charges: manslaughter, murder, negligence.
After the first, I thought it was over. I thought nothing of the fact that the Sheriff warned me I would be sentenced to death if it happened two more times. An odd law, to be sure; I just never thought it would end up applying to me. After all, I had been conducting trains for a quarter of a century before I ever accidentally hit someone! I figured the odds were in my favor.
Alas! I was wrong. Here the Warden comes now to ask me what my last meal will be.
"Steak, mashed potatoes, and corn," I told him. And I ate it happily. It was the first time I felt happiness for a while, but the feeling was fleeting. Within the hour, I was marching down the hall toward the chair.
They're strapping me in, my skin retreats from the cold metal.
"Any last words?" inquired the Warden.
To my shame, I couldn't think of any.
My head shook.
The switch flipped.
Nothing.
Silence -- then I opened my eyes.
"What the Devil?" spake the Warden.
Murmurs echoed throughout the room as they unstrapped me. After a moment of discussion in the other room, the Warden approached me.
"Listen, we've made a decision. Since you're in here on a technicality, if this happens again, we'll let you go. After all, it's only fair. You never meant to kill those people, right?"
"Right," I assured him, still in shock.
The next day, I was contacted around supper time. They wanted to know what my next meal would be.
"Steak, mashed potatoes, and corn."
The Warden seemed suspicious of this. The same meal? Maybe that's why I hadn't died, he assumed. Something in the food. He took the precaution of preparing the whole meal himself, and personally delivered it to my cell.
My plate is clean, now I must once more march down the hall.
Seated, strapped, switched...
Nothing.
"I'll be damned!" the Warden exclaimed.
He paced around the room as they removed my restraints.
"Well, a deal's a deal. I'm willing to let you go, but on one condition: How did you do it? Tell me." The Warden was standing before me now.
I thought for a moment before speaking: "I don't know, Warden. I guess I'm just not a very good conductor."

#3 Where could/should I start? in TF2 General Discussion

the newbie mix is the perfect place for you to start messing around, meeting people, learning the game, etc. If you've never played comp before, or played very little, its a good place to learn. lobbies are the other easiest way to play the competitive format of TF2

Based off your flag I'm assuming you are in Canada. If that is the case, that solely caused a delay in the shipping itself. I mentioned before all the first orders we did through USPS and it caused all sorts of headaches. Since that time we have switched shipping providers and can provider tracking codes for orders at this point. *snip*

In terms of the shirt. On the indiegogo page the advertised shirt doesn't have color. It was a black shirt with white/gray text. *snip* I haven't had anyone else complain about the quality of the shirt. If you pm me your information I'll personally send you a colored froyotech shirt which you can proceed to poop on/burn/wear whatever you want to do with it, since you felt you were slighted.
*snip*
I believe most late shipments also received free stickers with their orders. Some people got the wrong shirts so we resent the proper one for no additional cost and let them keep the erroneous one too.

*snip*

Yes, I am in Canada, I do believe my order slipped through the cracks. Carl mentioned in an email that you had emailed the shirt provider on the 10th of september, and the shirt was received on Sept 24th. So from the moment you contacted them, it was 2 weeks. Is an appropriate turn around IMO.

If the indiegogo page advertised the shirts were not in color, then that is my mistake and I should have read more careful.

And as for the quality of the shirt, there is nothing special about the quality and the white lettering is cracking after just one wash.

Thanks for offering to send a new shirt, I don't think that is necessary though. After you clarified my confusion on the Colored vs B&W shirts the only real thing left to complain about is the cracking letters and the 2 1/2 months to receive the shirt. I don't plan to poop/burn the shirt I have now, So I certainly wouldn't poop/burn the new shirt you would send.

KevinIsPwnbut this is getting to be a pretty lame situation for me right now :/

My order was eventually shipped out roughly 5 weeks late as well. The main concern I had once it was received was it was a very low quality shirt. It didn't have the Froyo colors that were advertised on the photo. It was for the donation to send the team to i52, I replied to the email re: donation perks the same day I received the email from Carl, July 10th, the shirt was received on Sept 24th and the shirt was black and white. Also a lame situation, but not really interested in the hassle to correct it. Just not very likely I'll be wearing it. Doesn't really look the best in B&W

#34 Who is leaving? in TF2 General Discussion

I stopped playing ages ago, I still watch tournaments like a ex football player would watch games on TV.

ESEA, CEVO, ETF2L the i series...
Because players stop playing, doesn't mean the comp scene is dying, it means the fan base is growing and we're making room for the next generation.
