I realizes there may be better things to work on at the moment, however do you have plans to customize things like: the main menu, motd, class picking, team picking screens?

every time I coach I recommend this channel and people are always unknowing of its existence. Maybe recommend that after the match your coaches recommend the irc channel like I do.

As far as I know you are welcome to play in both groups if you are not in North America. Just remember that the servers will be located in NA so if you can handle high ping go for it. I believe Europe has its own newbie mix group so you can also check that out.

First off you NEED to get in on the newly resurrected It's a pug group that has 1 coach per team that mentors and directs the game, it should be very useful for you.

**Next up would be #tf2mix on gamesurge. It's an IRC channel that does PUGs but the cool thing is if you don't get picked for the pug the next game you are guaranteed to play! Just click the "[url= Chat" located on the top of this page and switch to the #tf2mix tab by double clicking on it. Also if you join the you will get notified when pugs are getting filled up.

Just make sure you are
1. making friends
2. playing the game DM/MGE/Mixes/PUGs/
The best way to learn TF2 is to be on a team even if it is full of complete noobs. UGC has a free 6s league that is great for teams like this. Try and play in mixes make friends and make a low team!

I cant stress enough how important it is to make connections when you are playing, that is the best way to dive into the scene.

sounds like that is left over from brosel's HUD. did you use his HUD before this one? if so delete the resources and scripts folders completely, THEN put omp's folders into the directory.

That is a pretty smart time to do it live, people don't normally scrim that early good work.

I would resit the temptation to name it an inside joke that no one outside the community would get. I would give a suggestion but I am also bad at naming things. I listened to every MGE podcast and I'm excited to hear you are doing another show, good luck!

It might just be me but I don't think people actually read long form articles anymore. I think a video would be more effective.

I haven't listened to the whole thing but I don't understand why DJC thinks the community hasn't done shit even though they want tf2 comp to be successful. Was it not the community that payed sal back 14 grand for sending 2 teams to FUCKING EUROPE; And supported other teams in order to make it to the ESEA lan? Not to mention the fact that the community is the only reason djc has any readers, why extv has any staff, and why any stream has any amount of viewers. Consuming the content that others make isn't doing nothing, it directly supports it.

He then shits on "high IM" players for not casting, failing to realize that the reason those players cant cast is because they are busy playing the game. Most nights IM teams cant even watch eXtv because they are playing in their own ESEA matchs at the same time. Now some times invite matches are later and an IM player could finish a match and cast the invite one. But that is only if their team stops playing TF2 after a match, many teams keep scriming. Luckily Cbear got it right when he pleaded for players that AREN'T playing but where top IM or low invite to cast with eXtv.

In order to contribute to the community you need to have a solid knowledge of the game, and an ability to write coherently, or the personality to be streamed on the internet. It doesn't surprise me that their are only a handful of people like that. I haven't even mentioned that fact that everyone plays tf2 on top of going to school / having a job / being social. To contribute you need the right ratio of those things to even have enough time left to create content let alone the skills needed.

All that being said DJC is a someone I like and he is right in saying that we need more creators, I just don't like the way he went about saying it.

I also just realized DJC was drunk... maybe that is why he didn't realize these things.

It reminds me a lot of brosel's HUD, but with a better font and weird colors. I might use it but I may have to change the colors.

This is a good example of what I was talking about in post 7. We need an admin who wont care about the minority opinion, and has the majority of the communities opinions represented.
