#100 Proper Performance Guide on TF2. [UNFINISHED] in Customization
Bob_Marleyare SSDs actually very helpful for games like tf2? I would think pretty much everything could be loaded into memory when actually playing... So, my gut feeling is that reading stuff from disk isn't that common?

you're asking in the wrong place my friend

For starters what is your environment (settings, mods (including config), OS, and hardware) when you had this issue?

#2201 mastercomfig - fps/customization config in Customization
AimIsADickIn those cases a debugger might be needed (like GDB).

Stop.

To use a debugger the software has to be compiled with debugging information, which most release software isn't.

You seem to really fucking like writing autistic docs/instructions. So here's some advice for when you next see someone looking for technical help in a format you understand:

  1. Ask yourself if you have knowledge related to the answer.
  2. If the answer is no, don't just Google the question and post what you find

AimIsADick...

I had already tried preloading with both methods. I installed uvf as previously stated, crashes stopped instantly when I uninstalled the pack and started again when I reinstalled the pack.

Your guide is completely unfocused, unresearched and highly opinionated, most people just see that as a lost cause. In your guide you tell people to stop using Steam. Sure, out of context it's technically correct that you can close Steam to free up resources but don't you see how rediculous that is to include in your TF2 optimisation guide?

AimIsADickI did ask for feedback earlier on, but I did it only on this site (and that was a huge mistake), so I pretty much done it without any feedback.

you got a lot of feedback

#91 Warning about Nursey trying to come back in TF2 General Discussion

I mean is it unreasonable to ask people who run community services like TF2 servers and websites who have access to things like the IPs of users that they can't exactly make public to report the user's IP and ISP to the local authorities?

#43 RGL and Metal footsteps ( ° ͜ʖ͡°)╭∩╮ in TF2 General Discussion
Catalystugc removed jas's ban I hope the other two realize this shit is dumb.

To my understanding the RGL ban is a mirror ban from ETF2L, and I've seen some chatlogs with quintosh where he claims that Jas is lying about not knowing that metal footsteps were bannable.

This is despite the fact that Jas was streaming his games, which is the only way that you can catch metal footsteps. Also that he removed metal footsteps before being contacted by ETF2L in any way, as his teammates told him that it was against the rules.

I know from speaking to one of the past head AC admins that they didn't want to make a big deal out of exploits like this because its completely undetectable and can be applied to other things. You could make spy decloaks or medics getting full ubercharge have the mvm tank explosion noise.

#8 Mic help in Hardware

worth noting with the zalman is that it can be severely limited by what its plugged into
antlion sell a cheap usb sound card for their mics for this reason that would work with the zalman if it sounds like shit plugged into your laptop
