what hurts is they see this shitfest called 7v7 as more newsworthy

Pretty sure stuff gets posted on the teamfortress.com news section if you write an e-mail and ask them for it.
I don't think it's special and sigafoo probably has some contact to make this process even faster.
This has nothing to do with Valve acknowledging 7v7 as the superior format, it's more about sigafoo putting the effort into it and contacting Valve asking them if they can put it on there

Headphones recommendation for LAN?

Hello, my current headset is close to dying as it is disconnecting more and more often, to be fair it has lasted for 3 years now.
But now before it breaks at LAN or before an important game I'd rather buy one now.
Price range is about 100-150€ , don't really wanna spend more, positive would be if it's closed ears because LAN, duh
oh and maybe even a cheap good mic to it ?

This is a hard situation because sure you don't know the lower teams but what I've heard they had good scrim results against the well respected teams in these playoffs so putting them into high without a chance might be unfair when they had the possibility of beating the more well known teams and maybe even qualifying for prem

TheMackey5Well, I'm only an open scrub so I might not be that experienced or full of knowledge like other guys here but still, 6v6 also happens at lower levels. I don't even play comp that long but I'm already kinda tired of this memefest. Basically everytime you play against more skilled players they start offclassing, abusing unlocks, etc and it's super annoying. Sure, this might prevent a roll but I rather get demolished in 5 minutes than playing 30 minutes against full time huntsman sniper, sticky jumper, spy, engineer, whatever. I could play pub if I'd want randomness. All these unlocks and stuff are so inviting for fucking around. Well, if you're really really good this might not be that much of a problem since you can punish that pretty easy but if you're playing on lower levels, if you're a new and unexperienced player you can't. And that's so incredibly frustrating. Even in faceit matches or lobbies, why would you even bother playing comp 6v6 when it's basically a small pub?
Banning weapons will for sure not stop trolling though, people will just find other ways to do it, running perma spy or whatever they come up with.
Banning unlocks because they can be used to troll is not a good reason imo

SerotoneDo you mean they'd be overreacting by quitting, because again how many medic mains can top level tf2 afford to lose? Or do you mean they're overreacting by saying they wouldn't play and they actually would? Because that seems a bit presumptuous. I appreciate nobody's going to be losing sleep over my opinion but I wouldn't be interested in playing in a season that didn't have crossbow. I'd love to hear what other prem and invite medics think, maybe I'm just a special needs corssbow enthusiast and can't speak for anyone else.
I'm probably the worst example for this because I'm known for my arrows so I'm probably biased, but I for sure would enjoy Medic way less than I currently do without arrows
Arrows just give a class that doesn't have a lot of mechanical depth more skill to it and I appreciate that my aim is actually being rewarded with saving teammates lives in situations where they would have died.
