Sound device properties -> Advanced -> untick "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device"
If that doesn't work try to update sound card drivers or try to use older driver.

Google has a good help article about email spoofing here: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/50200?hl=en
Is basically says to:
Please obtain the full headers of the spam message from Sent Mail or from one of your Contacts, ...
And it also says how to obtain email headers from Yahoo email:
Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account.
Select the message you'd like to view headers for.
Click the Actions dropdown and select View Full Header.
The full headers will appear in a new window.
For example this email says it's from no-reply@twitch.tv, but is actually from mail6.justin.tv (not a surprise)
