#7 Class specific configs? in TF2 General Discussion
Alfiez4chno, i was putting them under /tf/cfgpop the config in the tf/custom/stuff/cfg folder

It isn't necessary to put your cfgs in custom folder.

I have my cfgs in tf/cfg and everything loads fine.

If the op's cfgs doesn't work properly then probably he had the code for each class configs wrong somewhere.

#29 Demo Call! in TF2 General Discussion
BubbaMoral_VindicationBubbaI NEED 1 MORE CLIP FOR MY FRAG VIDEO. IT NEEDS TO BE IN STV FORMAT, BECAUSE I AM DOING COOL THINGS WITH THOSE IN THE INTRO! SO YEA! ANY CLASS, ANY FRAGS, STV
You could try demo smoothing & third-person view in POV demos
pretty sure you cant get 3rd person from a POV

you can but it is pretty limited

try sv_cheats 1 & thirdperson commands

my suggestion is that use demo-smoothing to get 3rd-person view of other players

and play around with "sv_cheats 1 & thirdperson" to get a good view of your own player model

a proper combinations of those two would make a great intro

Edit:

A good read here

#14 Graphics card updated driver by itself? in Hardware
MJ
I told nvidia about the bug a couple weeks back and submitting my computer information, maybe they only fixed it with the 600 series because it looks like the 600 series works only. I'm on a 650.

Thanks for the info.

Btw, how do I submit the bug to nVIDIA?

#10 Graphics card updated driver by itself? in Hardware
MJckapJstn7477ckapIs there any way to fix that flashing without rolling back? It's getting really annoying and I don't want to roll back just for source games...
I heard from someone on here that the GeForce 320.00 BETA driver supposedly resolved the texture flickering problem. Worth a try. http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/61261
Did it, worked. Many thanks!

And people thought I was lying when I posted that it fixed it :(
http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/7948/1#post-116593

I'm on GTX570, didn't work for me.

Anyone with 500 series got the issue fixed?

#12 Thin crosshair in Q/A Help
vanillaSo I've been trying to get myself a hud crosshair that is a + but sort of big and really thin. However, even though I've scoured other huds, and tried to find a font on my own to use, I can never get it to turn out thin, it's always a fat plus sign.

Anyone have one already and wouldn't mind sharing? Or know where I could get one?

Is this what you are looking for?

http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/1081136303127319028/FEFA05CAF5FB473D853456E04082DCA788C9E939/

For this xhair you'll need:

"CrossHairVeryThin"
{
"1"
{
"name" "Kozuka Gothic Pro EL"
"tall" "30"
"weight" "0"
"additive" "0"
"outline" "1"
}
}

in ClientScheme.res

and

CrossHairVeryThin
{
"controlName" "CExLabel"
"fieldName" "CrossHairVeryThin"
"visible" "1"
"visible_minmode" "0"
"enabled" "1"
"zpos" "1"

"xpos" "c-12"
"ypos" "c-13"
"wide" "24"
"tall" "21"

"font" "CrossHairVeryThin"
"labelText" "+"
"fgcolor" "255 255 0 255"
"textAlignment" "center"
}

in hudlayout.res

The font file is here

http://fontpark.net/en/font/kozuka-gothic-pro-el/

Just download and install the font. (so you don't have to define it in ClientScheme.res)

#29 PSA: Steampipe in TF2 General Discussion
tehh4ck3rkirbyMake sure to back up your maps, configs, hud, etc. before you forget!
+1. Steampipe conversion will wipe all your maps, scripts, configs, huds, etc. so make sure to back them up.'

EDIT: Also, the switch to Steampipe is going to break the SDK, so mapmakers beware.

Actually you only need to backup your cfg files.

All of the custom map, hud, sound, material files will be moved to tf\download folder in the new tf2 steampipe folder (which is located at <your account name>\common\team fortress 2\tf\download\)

What you need to do after the conversion is done:

1. Copy back your cfg files to new tf folder
2. Create a new folder in <your account name>\common\team fortress 2\tf\custom\<your folder here> (could be anything eg. mycustommods)
3. Move all files and folder in the <your account name>\common\team fortress 2\tf\download\ (which should be including maps, huds, custom sounds, models, materials)to the new folder you just created - mycustommods)
4. Profit.
