#35 Phoenix Red announces GGtoor Locked (down) & Loaded in News

After what has been unfolding since this announcement was made public we’d like to take this opportunity to address some of the concerns brought up by the community regarding GGtoor's under-construction website, which was mentioned in the announcement for this tournament.

First of all, we would like to apologise for what we see as a failure on our part to make sure our players' privacy is respected and protected. We do recognise and understand the seriousness of the security issues that have been brought to our attention about the GGtoor website, and are taking action as needed. We would also like to thank the people who found these issues and pointed them out to us.

The following actions have been taken:

  • First, all the security concerns about their website issues have been reported to GGtoor together with proof of concepts. We’ve also made sure to emphasise how serious these issues are and are working with GGtoor to resolve them as quickly as possible.

  • Second, we were able to confirm with GGtoor that the web site is not yet completed, and registering on the GGtoor website was never a requirement to participate in this tournament. The website is still under construction, and we would like to encourage anyone who planned to register on the GGtoor website to wait until these security issues have been resolved.

  • Third, Shadow Credits have been removed from the prize pool completely. We're excited about the cash prizes, and the credits were intended to be an additional bonus on top of the cash prizing. However, to claim the credits, one would have to register on the GGToor website, and we do not want to give any incentives for a person to register on the GGtoor website until it is completed and the security concerns are addressed.

  • Fourth, we’ve gone over the registration page on Toornament.com to make sure we don't ask for any intrusive or unnecessary personally identifiable information.

We take the privacy of our tournament participants very seriously, and if you have any questions or suggestions don’t hesitate to contact us directly on Discord.

Thanks,
Mia & Heny

#31 The decade in review in News

Can't help feeling a bit stung that Copenhangen Games 2018 (first event with both HL and 6s having a prizepool) and Copenhangen Games 2019 (biggest 6s prizepool in God knows how long) aren't mentioned. Oh well, guess we will have to work even harder for CG20 to be remembered this decade ;)

#56 Copenhagen Games 2019 Shoutouts in LAN Discussion

Every time, on the day the event starts, we think (out loud) WE ARE NEVER GONNA DO THIS AGAIN! And every time, on the last day of the event we think: THIS IS WHY WE DO THIS.
We wanna thank every single one of you for participating in Copenhagen Games as players, spectators and especially our crew. This list is gonna be really long but here goes:
Thanks to Agro and KritzKast for streaming, social media, website (Casperr) and posting information
Thanks to Heny and DCS for making the tournament and running it smooth (never seen anything this smooth before)
Thanks to niceAsh, Gemm and Arch for pushing buttons (Gemm for pushing 1 too many buttons and cutting the stream)
Thanks to OndKaja for especially observing the CSGO, Foppish for observing with very short notice and Wiethoofd for observing and doing all the HTML/CSS for the stage and stream
Thanks to Soda for letting her blisters get blisters and just keep roaming with the camera on stage, as well as all the graphic work done
Thanks to TurboTabs - if you ever retire, we will too! You have literally been at every single production we have been involved in
Thanks to Beater, Grumpy, eepily, Nuze (who will never get to retire), DuMmTm, Jakeowaty and Seal (hope you get well soon) for doing awesome jobs casting and interviewing
Thanks to eXtine and Graham for giving me a great reputation with Copenhagen Games, as well as all your hard work!
Thanks to loris for doing the work of 10 and not getting any sleep, Dashner for countdown and ideas and Cupcake for the amount of work he had to do AFTER he played in the tournament
Thanks to all our creatives, again, you have more than impressed me with your amazing skills!
Thanks to Bambi for sorting rentals and photos and BiG (Robbie) for putting in an incredible amount of work
On a more personal note from Mia:
Shoutout to Lego, well not to Josh since he didn't say the special word, and Dmoule for changing my PC to FRENCH
Shoutout to the Danish TF2 players (I know now that Quad is an actual person, not a bot) and the promise of making an all Danish TF2 team for next year
Shoutout to all the cool chicks in TF2 especially: Sami (you're still my gal!), Mal (working to get Oz teams up here), uberchain (amazing graphics and photo work), Amy (looking after Lego NOT an easy task!)
Shoutout to Smirre who have attended all the TF2 things I have been involved in, from the very first MGE tournament at DHW to Copenhagen Games
Shoutout FROM Copenhagen Games to TF2, they we all impressed with the backup from the community, and they are looking forward to seeing us next year again.
Shoutout FROM Epparel CSGO Female to Lego, with a promise of a Lasertag rematch next year

We will be starting the work of next years' Copenhagen Games in May, so feel free to give us any feedback!
Thank you for making this event so amazing!
/Mia and Dalegaard
