this mode maybe fun to try-hard-ing on pub but i can't see how it can become an "E-sport" game mode
it's too chaotic, literally a spam fest
there's no strategy but attacker just throwing themselves at the capture point
at first i imagine there's gonna be hold and push like KOTH or something, but turned out it just TDM with an object

That doesn't change anything, you'll never really use more than 2 shots to get a kill with this weapon and your stats still make it better than the shotgun for no reason

2 shots to kill what? Are you sure that you can do full body shot 60-90 damage without missing any pellet? How about the clip size?

And do you really think that a 4 shots shotgun with +15% damage bonus is just as OP as the current RS, that can do minicrit on you just because you're airborne?

My RS suggestion is no way better than the Shotgun, it's just an exchange, smaller clip size for extra damage and faster switching speed

I can't see how this doesn't change anything, I mean we just nerf the gun from +35% to +15% damage and remove that stupid airborne mechanic, how does that mean nothing?

i prefer keep thing simple
replace minicrit bonus with +20% damage bonus (or 15%)

The problem with RS is it rewards player +35% damage (minicrit) so easily, just by airblasting people or the opponent himself do rocket-sticky jumping (minicrit shotgun is a huge deal)
while on ground it becomes a downgrade from stock because smaller clip size (faster switching speed doesn't matter)

So
+15% (or +20%) damage
+20% faster deploying speed
-34% clip size

sound like a fair trade for me, more damage fewer shot, can be use both on ground or air while also nerfing the +35% minicrit damage

nexuclasses with different hp and speeds are ok, but i really dont get why theres:
1. abilities
2. no airstrafing
3. syringe gun instead of grenade launcher???

i mean i can get over the whole bad movement thing but when i press 4 i want a grenade launcher not a blutsauger lol

Abilities make the game more interesting in different aspects,and (also) help balancing out the game. Because champions with nothing but just speed and health will be Quake 3/live with better graphics, and could be even worse because no one gonna pick slow Champions even if they have more health and armor.

Of course currently even with abilities, fast Champions are still dominating, but since the game are in beta, more balance gonna come so no need to worry

Not a syringe gun, but super nailgun, it was a Quake 1 weapon, i'm pretty sure they'll add more weapons later

quake 3/live doesn't have air strafing either, add it in will the make movement unpredictable, and top tiers like Anarki, Slash, Nyx,... become unstoppable

It's a funny meme but realistically people's optimism didn't stem from the idea that we "just need one last tweak" to take off, It was because every improvement was one step closer to what was needed. It was a sign that valve might finally be on the right track. The idea that maybe we'd start to see a sequence of more and more improvements. It's just unfortunate that they've managed to derail themselves immediately after every single occurance of a glimmer of hope.

I never trust them in balancing weapon
All they need to do with the Reserve Shooter is replace the "Mini-crits targets launched airborne" with "+20% damage bonus" and the gun will be completely fine

10 years has passed and the weapon still left untouched, instead they buff the Widowmaker for no reason

very bad sound mixing
weapon sounds, jumping sounds, voice line, echo, background music, none of them sound "clean", all merge together and i just can't hear anything
like 0:9 ; 0:34 ; 1:43 for example, they're just.. a bunch of noises

Edit: wait bethesda made Doom 2016 right? that explain alot

What if the map just simply open the 4th routes to the 2nd point after time out?

Balance the extra middle area (2.5) gonna be nightmare cause both team start from different point (mid to 2.5, 2nd to 2.5). Also the whole map has to be built around it

also the art style of overwatch being somewhat similar to tf2 in that it's cartoon-like with bright colors and unique maps is part of what has drawn so many people to it
