MouldMaxi I've not known for as long but since I've known him has been nothing but lovely to me and everyone around him. He's always looking to be social with everyone and doesn't have a bad word to say about anyone really, which doesn't sound like much but some of us upset him a lot unintentionally and he holds no grudge against us for it. Even after his trust got betrayed by someone and lost a good chunk of money for it, he's still willing to help us out in any way, he looks out for men or women that are our types, he puts his own cash on the line to get us sony discounts, he even drove me to LAN and is still giving even now, never asking for anything in return other than his due.
I just haven't said what I want in return yet

Originally started playing on a sever called TF2 Newbies Only, now discussing TF2 as an esport at length in work.
Went to i52 because I thought it might be fun, but had only 1 season of div6 6s under my belt.
Did a 6 hour round trip to get to i55 just because our team mate couldn't make it.
Drove 8 hours to GA just because it might be a laugh
Travelled to finland for a week to visit someone because flights were cheap.
Now I'm looking at team holidays to Disneyland and shit.

ScrambledWhat's stopping ETF2L from doing a 6s Open in a few weeks and announcing it after matchmaking is released to draw in in players?
Nothing besides splitting resources between both.
If ETF2L had more admins then the HL focused ones wouldnt be forced to help with 6s and you'd probably have a 6s cup as well.

I think it was more "not how we intended", rather than "we hate highlander"
Nursey I'm aware of the 2 HL only LANs but I really believe those would've better benefited for 6s.
so why didn't someone organise it? the HL scene organised their own lan and self promoted it a bit, but everyone just said "lolhl, should have been a 6s tournament"
NurseyI think a big thing people need to see here and is that 6v6 and HL are not part of the same scene as the only similarities is that it's TF2.
so why does every HL thread get shit on by 6s players? treat it like a sheepy post, ignore it and move on.
I also started in HL like Adysky, but haven't played seriously in like 3 seasons and enjoy 6s way more now. And sure I did the most HL casts last season, but there's nothing wrong if pub players want something a bit more competitive without jumping into 6v6, aka the organised pub? I used to main sniper, but if the only competitive setting wouldn't allow me to play my favourite class i probably wouldn't have continued.
Also as people mentioned, why not another archimedes style cup, trying to get new players into 6s? surely MM is the stepping stone and can be reinforced by a introductory competition?
