#2318 PC Build Thread in Hardware
NUTSLooking to build a pc this coming summer. i dont have any experience with it so far, my current one is a 5 year old pre build. I desire to play tf2 and overwatch at 1080p with consistent +144 frames, my budget is about ~900€ but if needed i can spend a bit more on it.

edit: dont care about eye candy, focus is on performance 100%

asking setsul questions:

do you have any parts that you can use from your old build e.g. a good hard drive or ssd?

Do you have your peripherals already, or is it needed in the budget?

#2 Mac - Squeeze Out Maximum FPS in Customization

What resolution and refresh rate are you playing at?

There is probably a big bottleneck with that GPU, so lowering your resolution will help.

Also, provide us with the specific model of your processor.

Finally, is it a "all in 1" system?

eulerI am looking for any advice you can give, specifically tailored towards Mac users, to help increase my fps to an acceptable competitive level. I am not looking for answers along the following lines: "Get Windows", "Macs are shitty", or "Buy a better PC". I believe that my hardware is adequate to drive TF2 at higher frame-rates than what I am currently achieving.

Deal with it. Macs are pretty shitty. You can't "believe" that your hardware is adequate. It is what it is.

#5 New TF2 Hack? in TF2 General Discussion
BumFreezegiving a "heads up" about a new hack is pointless, its not like people can avoid playing against it.
all this does is advertise it which is scummy.

Would you rather me say nothing about it? I guess i can remove the discord link

#18 UK Voters: Register to vote you fucks in World Events
AdnurakMenachemyoure fucking delusional if you think the system hasn't lead to the best living conditions in history. its got some big fucking problems but if you dont vote then youre really just voting to let those problems fester and worsen instead of working on them. no, of course youre not gonna fix shit in one election; even if every single person voted for their own best interest it'd take decades to properly clean the system up, but voting (and activism if youre into it i guess) is the ONLY reliable way to ultimately fix the problems we have.

if you really, REALLY don't like your options, then at least go out and cast an empty ballot. let your voice be heard declaring "fuck this shit," don't just send a message of apathy to people who want to fuck you over.
I disagree that democracy has created the high quality of life we enjoy today, I don't see how you can come to the conclusion that democracy itself is responsible for the technological progress that has created the society we live in, if anything democracy hinders progress by stifling competition.
My problem is not that my voice is not being heard, it's with the idea that it's okay to have 51% of the population (actually less) decide for the rest of society how everyone's money should be spent, or that it's okay to take people's money by force in the first place. Even still, that 51% aren't even in with a chance at actually making those decisions, that goes to an even smaller group of people. The whole thing is immoral.WARHURYEAHoh boy you sound like a hoot to be aroundsorry for talking about my political opinions in a thread about politics
