#3 LFT Pocket/Roamer Open in Recruitment (looking for team)

Drizzaa/Reflecto has pretty solid dm but basically no actual team/league experience. He's a really chill and mature dude who's eager to get his gamesense up and with that will come confidence and good main calling ability. With a bit of mentoring and regular reviews he'll easily do work at a mid open level and beyond that soon enough. Give him a tryout!

#21 CEVO Season 6 Announced in News

CEVO seems to be dead. I'm not happy about that but it is what it is. We would have been into this season already right now but there's only 2 teams readied up. Most either don't have six, aren't paid, or both. I'd like to hear something from the officials about this so I can have a better idea about the immediate future. What of the paid league fees? What of the prizepot (from last season's league fees), etc?

#3 CEVO feedback in TF2 General Discussion

CEVO needs to stop getting its server from gameservers.com. They used to be fine long ago but at some point they started slapping on tons of extra ping for some reason and for almost everyone. Chicago feels like Dallas, Dallas feels like California (I'm in Ohio). Even if they're giving CEVO a really great deal it's still going to end up hurting the league because the servers are complete turds.

#7 Cloridium LFT Pocket S18 Open in Recruitment (looking for team)

Clor is a really solid soldier man. When he played a bit with my team he did well but we were hoping for a little more of an assertive, strong calling voice in our pocket. I'm sure it's something he can do if it fits his style and he does it more. Also I can't say enough how much of a nice guy he is. Like he's a super mega sweetheart. Good luck dude!

#24 Getting better in TF2 General Discussion

Wowee what a cunt. But nothing that is unexpected from mason. You've played in invite so you have a ticket to shit talk anyone that hasn't been in invite. It was easily the worst team invite has seen in a long time, aside from maybe Six Guys Off (poor bastards) but invite nontheless. You're probably right though, my ideas are worthless since I've faced plateus and you, I'm sure, have never experienced any kind of plateu in your life. All bow down before the mighty mason whose opinions matter a lot.

#22 Getting better in TF2 General Discussion

^ What the two above said is about right. The harder and more actively you work at fixing mistakes and actually improving the better you'll do but people tend to improve at different rates, some faster than others. If your aim is solid that's good, but are you making good decisions? Are you playing smart and together with your team? You and your team should watch demos, in slow motion if necessary, and try to understand what works and what doesn't, and why. Getting a mentor to watch demos with from time to time and overall give you a fresh outside perspective can also be very helpful.

#14 a big thank you in TF2 General Discussion

Someone and myself were watching some of the games live at GXL and were discussing how, between the voice and just how you speak it has a real professional sports caster sort of feel. So yeah man, you sound really nice and it's a pleasure to listen to you cast.

#28 GXL feedback in LAN Discussion

This was already addressed but yeah, no whitelist for the entire event and no config on the mge server. That and I'm sure a bunch of people didn't even know about the dm/pug/mge servers - I know I learned of it pretty late.

Also while it's kind of cool that the lights go out at 8pm or whatever time and there's pretty disco ball lights on the ceiling it's a lot harder to see and find people and just overall the screen glares extra into your eyeballs when it's dark. I definitely preferred when the lights were on.

I took a few poopy videos and stuck them together here. This was my first LAN and it was a really fun time.

#26 Nick 'TheFragile' Leon in TF2 General Discussion

Thank you Fragile, and everyone else (a lot of people) who put time and hard work into this event. It was so great in every way. I got to meet so many people that I've known for years online and see so many familiar faces. It was a kickass weekend and I hope there will be more in the future.

#120 Strangest person you've met in TF2 in Off Topic
tri_That jaguar guy who made the 1 hr mge analysis video or something there was a big thread about it.

After the ESEA fiasco he compared it to "if i went to a rap concert and the performer pulled out a uzi and started shooting people in the crowd, would i feel safe going back to see that performer in concert" this is literally the analogy he chose to present to me.

Ok feel free to minus frag this into the ground or w/e I do not give a fuck. Even if you were some kind of magical double-invite deity, Tri, you're being a cunt and I'm not going to just sit here while you spout complete bullshit about me. And if that's really what you remember in your head then you're easily the strangest person in TF2. I'm going to address the points as briefly as possible.

I made that video a) to test a pen tool on my stream, one that lets you draw on the screen for 'analysis' type stuff and most importantly b) to help a very new player grasp some super basic concepts that he struggled with. It succeeded on both of these fronts. It was never meant to be a quality product and was just meant for one person to watch. Big thanks to capnfapn for trying his hardest to humiliate me in that retarded thread. I'm glad everyone had their fun. It showed me who my real friends were.

Quite some time ago, and well before the event above, when ESEA was melting down and tons of people were leaving for CEVO you added me on steam since I was a captain of a roster that would have been moved up into IM. Pretty much everyone on my team decided, at least at the time, that they were not interested in playing ESEA anymore and that we were going to be disbanding the team. Without directly saying it, you all but begged me to stay and keep playing in ESEA and asked me my opinion on the whole scandal and its various parts. From being untrustworthy and dishonest as a business to being downright criminal I am not OK with what ESEA did nor how they handled the events that followed the initial scandal. I told you I do not have trust in this company and I'm not giving them another dollar of my money unless there's literally no other place to play - maybe not even then.

ESEA's initial crime was secretly incorporating a bitcoin miner into their client software that would overtax and ruin people's hardware who were running the client and in the process generating value (more or less stealing money and accidentally frying people's computers in the process). At the time one of the arguments that the pro-ESEA people had was that -- Hey, only CS kids got hurt since they're the ones who leave the client running all day and all the time -- none of the TF2 people were affected since we barely ever use the client -- just for matches. And I said, (I paraphrase all of this now) - Ok let me make a shitty analogy for you.. it's a bit of a stretch but you can see how it can relate. If you were at a concert and during the show the singer pulled out a gun and just fired some shots randomly into the crowd injuring/killing some people, would you, as one of the fans at that show, say "Oh yeah the show was good -- I think the performers were great, I mean I wasn't one of the people who got shot, so who cares about that?-- everything was terrific". Wouldn't you be a apalled at the actions of the band? My half-assed analogy assumes that you are not death metal fan cartoon character at a DethKlok show.
