Would the custom model only be bannable?
It wouldn't use any fancy bypass stuff, pretty sure valve fully allows custom models, since after the summer update preloading custom models doesnt crash or do anything.

This means that I could make a version of this pack that would work the same way as any other mod that can be preloaded and work on every server, like custom animations.

pretty sure the lighting was the same as today in 2016/2017, the video uses a custom config, mat_bumpmap 0 should do the thing

Edit: You can also try using building_cubemaps 1

vooshooswish 2012 worked on casual

either enable mod support in mastercomfig or preload before joining, ive played with both packs on both serveme and casual and both seem to be working just fine except some glitches which im working on

TobSince the modding community has discovered a way to use custom models and materials on servers with a whitelistany source for how this works?
I assume it's using a custom model, but UV mapping an in-game material to it + preloading, but I'm not sure if that's what you're referencing

While exporting a model you can add $CDMaterials "(custom dir)" and set the custom directory to a sv_pure "allowed" folder like vgui/thumbnails which has hud materials in it.

OLD TF2 GRAPHICS ARE BACK! (not fully)

Since the modding community has discovered a way to use custom models and materials on servers with a whitelist I decided to make a mod pack with old models/textures mods updated for sv_pure 1-2 for people who prefer the old graphics (like me)

Keep in mind that this modpack is still in a very early stage and certain things are not included yet and some things are not possible to be implemented like old map lighting etc.

also dont forget to preload.
