freddiaNIf anyone else is experiencing a short lag after using the voice menus, I will upload my edit of this HUD to GitHub, where it is fixed (with other changes) (I moved all the custom animations to hudanimations_custom.txt, created a hudanimations_manifest.txt, mentioned hudanimations_custom.txt in the manifest and renamed the custom hudanimations_tf.txt (so it pulls the tf2 animations from the game itself/.vpk)).

a known bug that everyone knows about is the casual map preference thing, i have no idea how it does that.
i MIGHT be able to get to this the week of the 7th, but not before then. thank you to those that still use this hud! this winter i plan on redoing this from scratch.
my optimistic view of this is IF valve catches wind of this tournament existing and watches it (BIG "if"), they will see and understand how annoying and game-slowing the unlocks are in his game and could POSSIBLY attend to some of them if they want to
i completely agree with your points about the weird camera angle choices that ow production uses for streaming
i remember at some point in tftv's production history that a delay was implemented for the stream and the casters, where a production guy had 2 screens: a live spectate and a delayed spectate that was being streamed. by watching fights on the live spectate, the production guy could switch cameras to the best angles on the STREAMED spectate.
often during the overwatch open (the tournament seagull played in this week with his team nrg), the camera would switch to a zenyatta right as he's being killed (the only time support cameras were ever on stream), or an amazing sword from shadowburn that got 3-5 kills would be cut away from to a winston doing nothing (as #108 asl said above).
sure, the overwatch open has a lot of production value with the espn sports desk and a lot of people are working on it (albeit questionable hosts), sure i now enjoy ow over tf2, but tf2 casting production is still real nice and has better analysis, casters, and stream feel than ow.

i honestly feel the same about this whitelist as i do when valve releases a balance or content patch
you know that feeling?
while a unified whitelist is certainly a step for competitive tf2 to have understanding across every league (or until valve balances every weapon or a well-liked promod of this game is created), i think a better step to precede this one is to create a unifying ruleset of time/rounds/etc and THEN move onto unlocks
