and today i discovered that twitter bookmarks eventually get deleted. i am so sad.
edit: maybe it’s just the twitter website that doesn’t want to load them. maybe i will post more from the phone app if they feel like loading there later

early in the summer of 2017, late one night i joined the domthewhiteguy mumble looking for people to hang out with. yomps was in there, hanging out with someone. uninvited - i joined their channel and started talking to them while immediately feeling bad that i just joined (essentially) 2 strangers' conversation. to my anxiety-ridden surprise, yomps was incredibly welcoming, and asked me what i was up to and stuff like that. i ended up hanging out with them for like 2 hours that night, listening to stories of rando getting tilted while playing on the Ascent minecraft server and etc. unfortunately that was the only time I ever talked to yomps, as i didnt have the courage to talk to him at rewind 2.

i shared this story at LAN (edit: localhost, not rewind) to a couple people and i wish i told it publicly after the news broke of his death. i guess i was worried i wasnt friends with him so my experience with him didnt count, or something like that. good timing for you to make this thread to give me an excuse to put this out there.

a) i am also on the boat that 3 minutes is too fast, and rewards turtling too much as others have noted.
b) that being said, i enjoy the aspect of "playing for the win" instead of "playing to reach golden cap" in the heat of the game.
c) i feel like it also promotes the use of tac pauses in-game which im not really sure is a good thing or a bad thing yet as a replacement for half times. i guess it's neither, just different? as long as teams arent punished for needed to let their poor gamer empty their bladder
