here's a cool idea:
since postponing until a proper meeting is held/reverting the whitelist changes is obviously not in any of the three people who have to vote on whatever the fuck they wanna do with the competitive community's whitelist's minds, how about they instead restrict that shitty whitelist to the invite bracket only instead of fucking over the rest of ESEA, ETF2L and OZF as well

here's an even cooler idea:
don't be pissbabies and just redo the meeting at a decent fucking time with a broader audience and revert the whitelist to what it used to be in s23

i find it so incredibly jarring that even though there is clearly a popular opinion demanding for the changes to be at least postponed after a proper meeting with a more diverse demographic of players, the arguably self-proclaimed leaders of the entire competitive community and managers of the global whitelist (that everyone who wants to play competitively have no choice but to play under it) have shown little to no interest in listening to what other invite/prem players have to say about such mind boggling changes
and people were giving shit to the tf2 dev team for not communicating or listening to the community, and yet they're doing the exact same thing
just pull the fucking plug already valve

I asked who you were because you seemed keen in dwelving into the casting scene based on your post, where you completely came off as a gigantic asshat who instead of offering decent and constructive criticism to bren, you immediately invalidated your second half of your shitpost by pointing out one of his casting quirks and somehow claiming that that alone is good enough to warrant people wanting to contribute to his fundraiser and sending him across the globe

and like saam said in another thread, there is plenty of space available for up and coming casters, so if you feel like you're as hot shit as you think you are, please, by all means show us if yelling genuine reactions when something exciting happens is good enough to win people's trust and their contributions, specially when there's a LAN involved

Hey, dev team member here. We're incredibly sorry for keeping you guys out in the open about this, but we spent a good chunk of time deciding whether or not to postpone the tournament until a later date (tentatively next week). Unfortunately, Rand had some last second stuff happening IRL that forced him to be away from his computer and keeping the teams updated, but essentially what made us make the decision to postpone it is the very low amount of teams signed up for the tournament (only 6 at the time of writing this), and even though we tried to advertise this as much as we could through our Discord channel and our Steam Group, it ultimately didn't help much in increasing the number of teams that would participate. We're gonna approach other means to promote the tournament so we can have a more acceptable number of participants to make the tournament as fun and enticing as we possibly can. Thank you guys for the support, and apologies for the lack of communication. <3
