stackore39WiethoofdAre you using HLAE or any other tools/plugins to achieve this? you might have to render multiple passes and do some post processing/editing in your video creation software to get an affect that resembles DoFpretty sure hlae cant record tf2 like csgo

you are mistaken. the only thing tf2 doesn't have is mirv_streams so we can't get certain stuff out of an AGR. additionally to my knowledge there isn't a clean way to implement DOF in tf2, you will need to use SFM unless some form of external plugin exists to inject post processing effects into the game that can ALSO be captured by recording software.

zandathis is crazy! all the maps are super well done + editing is great! the different maps remind me of this csgo frag video

thanks! edits like the one you linked are made in different engines like ue4 etc. that would be an insane amount of work to pull off in tf2 but i hope to get together a group of people to achieve something like that one day!

Thanks man. Its up to Mould and Hyce if they want to release their own maps, but none of the maps created for this video are in a state that's even close to playable. This is mostly due to having to decompile and recompile the maps to edit them, which breaks things like collision and triggers (so shutters don't open, you can't cap points etc). Its also very likely that the skyboxes would be wrong or missing if used in game, at least on my maps. Finally, none of these maps are optimised so they would probably tank your fps.

Despite all this, if there's enough interest I'd be happy to at least release the VMFs for my maps so that if someone wanted to fix them they could, although as I said its up to Mould and Hyce for their maps.

Brockhow long did this take to render? the sky boxes, the environmental elements! I love this stuff

Assuming he's talking about editing the particle itself, the quickest way would be to launch the game with -tools and use the particle editor. however if you have SFM installed using SFM's particle editor is more convenient imo. The properties of each particle are fairly easy to understand so you shouldn't have any issues fixing it.

However its probably worth going with what wiethoofd said, although I'm not sure why you want to use frame blending in all honesty.
