So I am going to be taking the same exact same flight, same company, same aircraft model in another month, scared shitless atm

You really start to wonder why they don't rigorously review every aviation incident to identify mistakes and fix any potential engineering issues. Given how many repeat accidents there are its dumbfounding that no one has spoken up yet.

Oh, wait, they do all of this. When is the last time you heard of the same issue happening on identical models or on identical airlines?

You'll be fine.

OafmealRenhetTurned 19 on the 9th. Now I can legally drink maple syrup.

I think it's cool that the folks over 25 are active in gaming and game communities.

Me too! I'd feel creepy as fuck if I was the only one.

Most of us started playing games when we were your age - we just never stopped

Doesn't feel creepy to me, instead feels normal. I accept that gaming, particularly competitive gaming is going to be full of younger kids, but that doesn't mean I should stop or feel weird about sticking around :>

#13 laptop for college in Hardware
Drewgr8stalinThere's no such thing as a gaming laptop despite what idiots, Dell, and Razer want you to believe (with the latter two cashing in on the former).
This is like saying there's no such thing as a gaming computer. There's a big difference between laptops that do and don't have dedicated GPU's.

Thats not what he's talking about. Most manufacturers that I've seen offer dedicated GPU's or on-board when you are building it on their website.

Alienware and Razer will take a laptop with decent hardware, tack on a cheesy case and some extra LED's and charge an extra $400 for the 'hardcore' edition.

Pick a manufacturer you like and build your own off their website. There's no need to get a 'gaming' laptop from alienware or whoever.

I got a Lenovo thinkpad 4 or 5 years ago with an i5 and a dedicated video card (instead of on board) and that thing is still useful. Runs tf2 at ~80 fps and other games decently well. Cost me $800 and still chugs along despite its age.

With a budget of $1200 you should be able to get a pretty solid machine.

hookyCarlhookyCarlAll mice should be restricted to 800 dpi. Any more dpi's and you have an unfair advantageWhat about people with lesser-DPI mice? What about them?
They should be drawn and quartered for being such an embarrassment to the gaming community
Oh, we also need to cap fps. Some people can't get more than 20.

And sensitivity shouldn't be allowed to go beyond 6"/360. Some people just don't have the desk space for a large mousepad

CJ-CarlWhen I used to play with 3 monitors / eyefinity I had ~140 degree fov

That was 3 or 4 years ago though, don't know if it still works.

It still works but only if you are on full screen 5760x1080 (i.e., no borderless windowed mode).

Strange. What happens if you play borderless windowed? Does it letterbox you?
