#30 Cheater, Apparently Open/IM? in TF2 General Discussion

i think wall and trigger/aim. the heavy aim was just way fishy, and it looks like you can see him use peripheral vision through walls as soldier.

funny how OP's worries were so easily dismissed by all these guys hanging around on a competitive fps forum. you should be ashamed for not even considering that he's right, but in stead immediately conclude he is just some salty guy. (why, because some brian fellow says so?)
and maybe the guy doesn't even cheat, but OP's certainly right in that it looks off. off enough to ask for second opinions on a comp forum.

#5 Logitech g5 or g700? in Hardware

there seems to be a lot available on avito. i see a lot of other logitech mice, razer mice, steelseries, zowie..

anyway, if you like your G400s, it's available for 700rub, pretty cheap for a good mouse.
the G5 and G700 are also available, but since they're laser mice i just wouldn't recommend them for a gamer. not that they're bad, but just inferior. however, if you insist on the G5, then that one's available for very cheap (300rub) - nice price! the G700 would be more expensive and i don't really think it's worth it..

another option is to try and pinpoint the issue of your current G400s so you can fix it. because if you buy a used product, maybe the same thing will happen (or has already happened). but of course that would mean opening up the mouse and possibly ordering new parts..

that said, i also see cheap deathadders. 1200rub for the 3.5g and 1300rub for the 2013 edition. they're good options as well.
there's also a zowie EC1-A for 1500rub and a zowie EC2-A for 1500rub - also good mice..

i could probably go on and on since there seems to be a ton available. i do recommend going for an optical LED one and not a laser one. a new shape is always a gamble, so maybe that G400s should be good?

#18 Pyro extra ability concept: attraction force? in TF2 General Discussion
4812622grape + ma3la have already run pyro for entire rounds and done fine on certain maps, also satan played pocket pyro for stochastics team in im for half a season lol

pyro is fine, you just need to have very strong mechanics and most people are shit at it and don't care enough to learn

you shouldn't judge pyro on its performance in 6s, because it would never get balanced around 6s..
saying any class is good or bad in 6s (ultimately) does not matter because valve does not balance the game around 6s.

anyway, i think airblast is still a shit mechanic in tf2, and some suction mechanic would make pyro even more gay.
i would welcome the removal of the airblast and optionally give pyro a different mechanic

#3 Logitech g5 or g700? in Hardware

what's your budget? is there a site you will be using to look for used products?
there's a lot to be recommended at this point. it's gonna come down to what's available and at what prices

#496 what's yo inches/360 in Off Topic
phraxScrewballastrin_doesn't matter at allMost mice will only track properly at certain DPI steps and none track properly past 1800. A good example of this would be Zowies 3090 mice.
not true on either count

it's true for almost all older mice/sensors that they will only track properly at certain steps. newer mice like the DA 2013 / chroma or G303 etc are different in this regard - they will still track well at higher DPI levels, but from certain levels will add more delay to counter jitter.
so if ShdSteel wants a solid answer then he'd have to name his mouse or just use google.
and i think there will be skipping if you go above a certain in-game sens. i think it was something like 2.7 or 2.9 for tf2.

#42 Shanghai Major in Esports

too bad for gabe, but he should know that someone calling an ass (as CEO) on the internet could come slapping you back in the face real hard. but i assume he's no idiot and he probably had good reason to call james an ass?

personally, i don't think people should blow this up as they are doing. i suppose they do it because gabe is a CEO and people see this as unprofessional. and people love their drama.
i understand james' concern about his professional image, but i think we all should try not to judge anyone (james or gabe) just yet.

gabe already stated that there was hesitation to let james have this one. who knows what reason he had to say that.
james his long letter might have ground, but maybe it's just a victim's speech..
in the end, maybe gabe was just a fool to call him an ass on the internet. but to me that's something that could be forgiven, if he would officially apologize.

#17 Deciding on New Mouse in Hardware
the301stspartanBucaketechnically, the G303 destroys the EC2-A.
lol and why would that be?

lol, what makes you think they are equal?

better pcb / firmware - lower button latency, less delay(smoothing), stronger sensor. this has all been proven with tests, internally there is nothing about the ec2-a that beats the g303.

not that it really matters. because the ec2-a performs well enough to be used at pro-level.
as for the g303, if you don't like the shape it really doesn't matter how good it is, internally.
and other stuff like stiffness of buttons and coating is preference

i hope i didn't make you mad

#14 Deciding on New Mouse in Hardware
EricQuestion: assuming the EC2-A permanently keeps the Huano switches, would it still be better than/equal to the G303? Some people say they don't mind the lack of Omrons and/or can't tell the difference, but others say the delay is intolerable (I've only used the DA's Omrons thus far).

technically, the G303 destroys the EC2-A.
so i would say it comes down to which shape you prefer.

as for the complaints about the stiff buttons; the shell has just as big an impact as switches used do. for the zowie it's mostly the shell that people dislike, not the switches. people have swapped the huanos out for omrons, and still the buttons were very stiff.
also, the delay has nothing to do with the huanos, it's the firmware that's just mediocre.

EricAlso, is there a reason people like ambidextrous mice? I use a palm grip and can't imagine a comfortable grip without the ergonomic curve.

i think the main reason is because ambidextrous is way more flexible, and everyone's grip differs slightly.
with ergonomic mice, there's not really a way to 'get around' the shape.

#9 broken keyboard in Q/A Help

if you do not care about quality then just get membrane rubber dome, you can probably find dozens of them for free if you put in a little bit of effort. otherwise, they cost only a few dollars
however if it must be mechanical, next time don't get anything with "esports" in it, and don't get anything with kailh switches

#3 Razer Deathadder 3.5G Problems in Hardware

i remember reading about that freezing issue with the 3.05 version of the 3.5g legacy drivers.
try 3.03 (in stead of 3.05) and see if that changes anything.

just fyi, synapse is bad to use for changing dpi on the older deathadders. you really want to use the legacy drivers for the 3g and 3.5g models.

personally, i did what slemnish did. changed settings with the legacy drivers, then just uninstalled it.
(however, the LED settings don't seem to get saved on the mouse, only the polling rate and dpi.)

i honestly don't think your mouse is dying. razer software has always been problematic, both legacy and synapse. to this day people have issues with their software. gg razer
