The admins have better priorities than to deal with the fact that a cheater who was banned before Kiwi is now unbanned and is about to cause havoc. They gotta prioritize people saying naughty words in severs that they don't provide but its still "sanctioned by them." It's worse because it happens in scrims I understand if you get banned for saying shit in a match.

Not to defend rgl in any way but the people that ban you for telling people to kill themselves are not the same people that ban you for cheating (which iirc is still only 1 person)

No, it's the same people. RGL AC is responsible for every ban on the site, from actually cheating to the person who said the n-word in an amateur scrim. Pretty sure RGL admins aren't even allowed to ban people on their own - it HAS to go through AC.

Part of why people like cukei or cray haven't been banned yet. Some of the admins have seen the videos and they are aware that they're cheating, yet they are powerless because no one has made a report for it.

Reports for both of those players almost certainly exist, although inactive players probably fall to the bottom of the queue though given the large number of reports happening across all divisions with such a small anti-cheat staff to investigate. Admins being "aware they're cheating" is essentially the same as a report being submitted to the AC staff though, at the end of the day they're just another community member with an opinion, and it will have to go through AC either way.

Where have you got this from? At least during the time I helped out at RGL, AC admins have had zero access to player behaviour reports nor discussions of the RC team. So even if they wanted to, AC cannot provide any input on those types of bans unless RC requests their help to identify an alt or smth. The staff members who can ban people iirc are limited to head admins, but they only ban after an investigation was made by either the RC or AC team. My reddit account was permanently banned because i kept harassing the moderators of r/childfree by sending them videos of happy families with children so i will not be replying on that platform.

Hello everyone, to first clear up some misinformation in this thread - alt detection is handled entirely by AC. The Report Committee is in charge of handling hate speech reports. Whenever you fill out a misconduct report form via the RGL site, that goes directly to the RGL Report Committee which handles misconduct cases. Cheating and alt reports go directly to AC for them to handle and investigate.

To be clear, AC has nothing to do with slur bans; RC has nothing to do with cheating/alt bans. They are completely separate from each other.

In regards to the topic of being banned for being an alt account, I have talked with AC and they have confirmed that they have evidence of you being an alt. AC has stated to me that they go over roommate related cases regularly. While they typically do not meet the criteria for alting related bans, this is one of the few that has met criteria completely separate from a typical roommate case. AC told me that they cannot share what this evidence is for the same reasons we do not share evidence in cheating bans.

I did ask AC however, if you can submit another appeal; and I was able to confirm with them that you can submit a final appeal. They however stressed that you need to include everything you have as evidence on Google Drive and include it in the appeal.

Hilarious to me bc the only criteria I could imagine being met other than our ips matching is both of our accounts being inactive and being on the same roster 4 years ago lmfao, not to mention Arie checking the serveme history and finding nothing to corroborate this. Whatever I'll get my documents and make the appeal, this could've been sorted way faster if you guys were willing to communicate with either of us directly, ESPECIALLY when my roommate reached out to you and other staff directly. Was hoping to be able to play in s14 but oh well!!

RGL staff have access to more sources of information than me. From the statement and some information provided to me, I get their concerns.

You also gotta think, if this was actually the same person, why go through so much effort just to alt account?
Literally just to get banned for 6 months, and complain about it with no prior history of causing drama anywhere else?

That alone doesn't make sense, especially given the player "alting" in question is mid-Main Highlander.
It just seems so odd to go through so much effort for literally zero gain.

RGL was handed a free easy PR win. I don't think they could have fumbled worse.
