After the recent update, steam pipe. My tf2 has been crashing and im stumped.
The game freezes, sound loops and i have to open up task manager to kill it.

Here is a youtube of what is happeneing:

This is what I've done so far:
- Reformatted win7 (had win8, didnt like it)
- fresh install of tf2
- verified game cache
- defragged computer
- updated drivers

You guys are my last hope, google gave me multiple dead ends.

i get the same thing except i also get artifacts and my computer completely crashes if i don't ctrl-alt-delete fast enough

i have suspicions that it's my graphics card (nvidia gtx 470), and it has gotten worst ever since the latest beta drivers/steampipe update

May be sound drivers actually. I just installed a new soundcard, and it's happened twice so far. Never happened before.

Only it's not even in my task manager to kill, I had to restart my pc to get rid of the ear raping sound.

Yeah it might have something to do with sound driver. Im still doing a bunch of tests, trying to find the source.
