Not sure when this happened since I don't play many "snowy" maps but I was messing around on a new map and saw that my textures were all messed up. How would I fix this?

dx8?
try mat_specular 0, though* it removes specularity in general
for all I know it might be a mapper's error but it's not especially likely

Try verifying the integrity of your game cache, you might have some weird corrupted textures or something.

Just did that and it's still broken. Any other ideas?

iirc this has to do with the normal textures of the texture not being rendered? Not sure. It may also be ssbump, not sure. But basically one of the modifying shaders on the texture isn't being rendered. I think this is due to fps configs. I'm pretty sure this isn't originally a mapper's error, as I remember the textures being pretty clear in glacier originally, and the textures haven't been unpacked from the bsp(The map shown).

EDIT: It's not the normal, it's the bumpmap! I should have known. If you want to fix this, mat_bumpmap 1 will fix it.

That fixed it. Thanks a lot man, was bothering the hell out of me on Viaduct Mid.
