Gaming mouse that works for me?

I don't know if these threads are looked down upon, but I think it's about time I invest in a new mouse. I have been using this mouse for probably a year, or slightly longer: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Optical-Notebook-Mouse-Plus/dp/B0001LTT5K/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top I never really saw anything wrong with it, but I always thought due to it's VERY small size, and the fact that it's supposed to be a cheap notebook mouse for business use, that I was being put to a disadvantage. Do you think it will affect me negatively to upgrade to a larger mouse due to me not being used to it? Do you think I should look for a mouse roughly the same size only more suited for gaming? Does such a mouse exist that you know of?

I went from the kinzu (pretty small) to the deathadder (pretty big) and it felt kind of weird for the first few days, but unless your hands are TINY you should be alright

Yeah, I saw that thread, but it does not exactly help with what i'm looking for yet. I'm still deciding on whether the size upgrade will affect me and if I should stick to a smaller mouse. Once I get that figured out, i'll look into particular mice.

I heard the Deathadder was pretty big. My hand is slightly under or just about on 7 inches from the tip of my middle finger to just in front of my wrist, so do you think it would be too big?

The g400 is a very popular and very solid mouse that many people I know would suggest.

Here is my hand compared to my g400, with a ruler (white paper for contrast, pictures looked like shit against my mousemat)

Personally, I love it, although the area for your pinky and ring finger could be more supportive.

Alright, it looks like the G400 will work for me then. I'm also looking for a new mouse pad (though I won't make the mistake of opening a new thread for it). I'm sort of torn between the PureTrak Talent and the Qck Heavy. I'm leaning more towards the Talent, but the Heavy seems to have more users/high reviews. Any opinions on that?

P.S. Thanks for the pictures, appreciate people adding images to their claims.

I have the QcK+ (same size as the heavy but thinner) and it's worked great for me so far.

Apparently the Goliathus speed is much better than the talent. As long as your mousemat isn't too small and has a consistent feel to it, I don't think you'll have many problems.

puretrak talent is like the only mousepad that doesnt have problems with any mice.
DA, Zowie, G400, IME, WMO, all work great on it.

Buy whichever pad you can get cheaper, hard to go wrong with a QcK+ or a talent.

Ordered the G400 and the Talent combo. Should be here soon, hopefully in time for my birthday. Will report back with how it works (though I doubt I need to) in case someone else was wondering. 1 less thread about it at least.

Great mousepad for a budget minded person http://www.amazon.com/Allsop-XL-Raindrop-Mouse-Pad/dp/B000XUW8IY 10 bucks. A bit smoother then the qck, but quite a bit thinner then the heavy model.
