I do not feel like managing a team nor do i feel like micromanaging a open team.
I can play soldier and medic at a IM level.
Will also accept TOP open offers but would much rather play IM.
Leave a message in this thread if my list is full and i will add you.

mis a serious gamer

this is probably the best description of him I've heard. That can work for a lot of teams, and not so much for others.

Screwball definitely has the skill to play in IM. He just needs to find a team that will fit his mentality.

I think he could compete in IM as soldier or medic with the right team. Some people dislike him because of his personality, but from the few times I've talked to him recently I'd say he's improved in that regard. Worth a tryout imo.

His playstyle is... unique. I think if he was on a team where players were at the same skill level as he is, it wouldn't be effective, and if you are picking him up on an IM team, expect having to force him make a lot of changes to his game as he will be unable to control the map the same way he did in mid open. He's still a good player, a little abrasive personality but nothing unmanageable, worth a lengthy tryout.

Well... This is from my, admittedly limited experience with him on medic and soldier in situations like pugs and ringing scrims, and watching matches and from his teammates. It could just be a result of him playing down and thinking his playstyle the best way to win in those situations, but I don't think it would work in IM and even if it was situational, it takes time to adjust.

he's kinda really controlling as medic, he'll be good for you if nobody on your team calls. Tends to micromanage, even during pugs.

Screwball can be very arrogant and difficult to deal with at times. That being said, he's a really strong player that could definitely compete in IM.

I am at the point where i cant possibly be expected to improve with open players. My DM is leagues above anyone i have played with recently my calls are far better and honestly it feels like lobbys did for me over a year ago. My playstyle on pocket last season was the direct result of having a medic that never called/wouldn't heal scout even when specifically told by me to do so, and a demoman who could barely put out 1/2 my damage. I quit playing solly for them because i did not feel me our anyone around me could improve in a environment with one person carrying on DM.

I tried playing medic for them but i felt like i was playing FAR below my level (i played ETF2l div2 a while back which is basically IM)and in the end being forced to micromanage wasn't fun even though i got results. So basically here i am....I just want a team that i wouldn't be carrying on so that i can actually learn and improve myself instead of picking up bad habits playing in open.

Never played with Screwball, but I think it shows pretty poor character on his part to talk about his ex-teammates (who are all very nice people) like that.

Although it is admitting distasteful you cant really understand the way i played last season until you understand the circumstances. I do not wish to play open again as to avoid said unpleasantness.

you are going back to comparing etf2l div again.....i love euros but dont associate yourself that you were one of the top div2 players in etf2l, as you can see its a different skill level

i played in im for two season buts it doesnt mean im one of the best im players ever, if you really want some criticism, try staying on a team instead of just bailing because its not going the right way, if you can't even tolerate to micromanage and believe its holding you back you still have a lot to improve upon

I do not want to be able to outDM my own pocket. The scouts in open are so hilariously bad on average that i usually get a positive KD from needles. Cant say much about demos but the skill level in open from what i gathered isn't that high and its honestly miserable to play in. I can not be expected to play with people who are worse then me offclassing as there own class. It is boring, annoying, and i just can't be arsed.

I want that feeling back i had when i started playing ESEA. I want to feel like part of a team not the fucking carry. I want to get better. I can't get better playing with and against people who are worse then me. Its like playing lobbys all over again and its just not fun.

if you want to feel like part of the team instead of a carry maybe you should lose the ego and realize that tf2 is played 6v6, not 1v6

you might have immense DM and gamesense but the fact that you completely fail to recognize that tf2 is a team game is holding you back really hard

Then I suggest making a team since I very much so doubt anyone is in dire need of an egomaniac on their team.

I know sorry for sounding a bit argent and such i am just getting extremely aggravated ;_;. I KNOW i can play IM. I really dont have any fun playing in open. Its very frustrating being stuck here when i know i can play much higher and have played much higher before. I take the game very seriously and want to get better.
To any of the people judging me would you want to play on a UGC team? Would you actually enjoy doing that? I want to play at my own level so that i can improve. I want to play at my own level because it is a hell of allot more enjoyable. What is wrong with that? :(

ScrewballTLDR he wants to play where he thinks he can play.

There isn't anything wrong with playing where you think you belong, that's perfectly normal. It's the fact you keep saying you are better than an entire league and feel like you would obliterate anybody in open. I'm sure you would do fine in IM, but it is incredibly ignorant of you to claim you could learn nothing in open and would carry any team that picked you up.

ScrewballMy playstyle on pocket last season was the direct result of having a medic that never called/wouldn't heal scout even when specifically told by me to do so, and a demoman who could barely put out 1/2 my damage.

The playstyle of your team mates, is going to be a direct reflection on the playstyle you demand from them. Taking 100% of ubers (demanding you take them), forcing your demo to take back seat in all chokes/pushes, and biggest heal hog I've come across.

If you are going to complain about an open team, perhaps you shouldn't try out for open teams.

I cant main call properly while playing pocket and i was also by far the most effective person with ubers. I asked you several times to take over main calling and you simply stayed silent. You had very little control of your team. Your scouts where starving and everyone who played after i took over medic will say that it was FAR more pleasant and got far better results. I stepped down as pocket because i wanted to properly main call and manage ubers and i can only do that as medic.

Read the thread. I dont intend to.

To elaborate on what I said earlier (and what he's clearly shown here), Screwball has very solid skill, DM, and gamesense, worthy of an IM team. However it's really fucking annoying having someone in mumble constantly saying things like:

"Why are you missing so many shots? You need to spend more time in MGE. I can do better than that and I'm not even warmed up."

"C'mon guys, I can be doing better than you and I'd be offclassing."

"You guys need to pick up the slack, your medic shouldn't be able to out DM you."

"Man, I played Div1 in europe, and I could be playing low invite right now if anyone knew who I was."

It's up to you if you value skill over personality, but I just can't get along with someone like that for very long. He can be a nice guy, but he just needs to realize when he's crossed the line and starts sounding like an arrogant asshole. Not to mention there's almost never constructive criticism that accompanies his observations, only ever "I can do better, and should be on a better team." I feel as if his mindset has put him in a dangerous place where he will never be happy until he is on a playoff level IM team or higher, yet he doesn't understand that most teams won't ever keep him around long enough for him to work his way there with all his negativity. He expects teams to just recognize his DM and pick him up right away.

Screwball, there are people with just as good of DM as you, that aren't as arrogant. Those are the people that have worked their way to the position of high IM or invite, and that's who those teams are going to want to pick up, not someone who feels that he's entitled to play at that level because he thinks he deserves it.

I knew this guy back when he was CombatToast, I held off commenting in his apology thread or talking about him because I felt he should deserve a second chance. Played against him multiple times, talked with people he's played for, both hl and 6s. The main thing in common is that he talks bigger than he plays, and he demoralizes the rest of his team. If you want a guy that will either be the best on your team and rub it in, or play badly and blame it on you feel free to pick him up.
