Avira antivirus users are experiencing widespread false positives with the game executable - see Rumor has it for instructions on reporting as false positive

------------------------

Via the CS:GO blog:

Valve[ MISC ]
– Users in China with a worldwide license will be prompted to play on Perfect World servers in China or outside of China.
– Those players can still manually set their launch parameters to bypass the prompt.
— “-worldwide” command line option will allow users in China to launch the worldwide version of the game to play on game servers outside of China.
— “-perfectworld” command line option will allow users outside of China to launch the “Perfect World” version of the game.

Rumor has it:

- If you're having issues with Avira thinking that the CS:GO executable is malware, grab the executable from your quarantine, head to https://analysis.avira.com/en/submit, select "Suspected false positive", drag the executable on to the page, and fill in the details
- Anyone is able to upload the executable, so even if you're not an Avira user, I'd encourage you to send in yours anyway
- Although you may hear that you should add the game directory to your exclusions list, you really shouldn't in the event of a real emergency. Even if done for supposed "performance benefits", these benefits would be extraordinarily miniscule on a modern system with solid-state storage

- Localization is the name of the last two updates: https://github.com/SteamDatabase/GameTracking-CSGO/commit/3e25bb2724e2b6a25fbc2448a452be1808b60730
