stuttering problem

so, recently ive got a weird problem. when i start up tf2 and connect to a server my ping on scoreboard will be higher than my ping on net_graph. this results in a weird stutter/lag spike experience. i can fix this by replugging my network adapter.

does someone know a way to prevent it from happening completely?

EDIT: fixed the issue by going to settings->network&internet->network reset

On an unrelated note, does anyone know why pressing tab and checking the ping that way almost always results in a ping that's always around exactly ~10 ms higher than what net_graph displays?

scoreboard ping accounts for latency from client to server
net graph ping accounts for latency from client to server back to client

are you sure your scoreboard ping is higher? it should be the lower of the two

I think there's just a command to have 1 ping on scoreboard. I don't remember what it was but I think the lowest possible ping without any commands is 5.
