So when I try to smooth a stv demo I am getting stuck. I get stuck at the point where I have to put in the start tick and end tick of a smooth. I hit reload, enter my start and end ticks of the smooth, but when I hit select the parameters of the smooth don't show up. Should I be doing something different to smooth a stv demo vs a pov, because this always works on povs.

You can't smooth STV demos the same way you can with POVs. You have to free hand smooth, which is a pain. I believe you could also bind keys to specific movements, but I'm not familiar with that.
